So i called them and said i was very sick and the final exam is tomorrow then she said "Do you really expect us to make a new exam just for you, stupid idiot for missing school?" Can i sue her for this? I mean overall she is nice but now she got mad for some reason... I just felt like tell her to stfu

Who knows how did her day go and why did she lash out like that.. If she was bitchy all the time i would understand a lawsuit but if she is an ok person and just lashed out it feels a bit weird.. Anyhow, yes you can sue her but you wont get anything for it except for a public apology

She has no excuse for her unprofessional behavior, I say notify her superiors and if no action is taken, take it over their head and if that doesn't work sue
What made you decide against having your parents phone in your illness? Having your parents phone in makes a difference; they're going to be reluctant to take your word for it. I think she just got mad because she felt that you insulted her intelligence; with you phoning it, she sees it the same as your saying that your dog ate your homework. If it's a matter that you simply didn't prepare for your finals than just say so, as you could have been studying over the last day or two.

We told you not to miss the exam, are you hospitalized or something? Get a doctors note. That's what they told me when I skipped my cooking exam. Then you could have a chance to do it in the near future or they will most likely hold you back a year.
Grow some balls too. She called you stupid? That's no real reason to sue someone. Some teachers in my school are real racist and unmotivating. They even threw a desk at a student once lol and there is one teacher that calls everyone stupid and says get ready to steal the governments money when they give you welfare.. This is in Canada too. The country of nice people. It's also High school, College/University, The Teachers are even worse there.
If you do end up sueing the teacher for calling you stupid. ONCE and probably the first and last time. The chances for a court to process your case, plus there's like no chance you will win.
None of the students and teachers there will like you anymore. You'll probably get a bad reputation to the next school you go to.
If you miss the exam, get a doctors note.

One of my college professors called me a "conceited bitch" in front of everyone during an oral presentation, it was a truly painful, soul-crushing experience, I cried for 2 straight hours. I'm disgusted at how much I let things get to me.
I got called worse by my teachers all the time i just took it as banter and talked shiz back, stupid idiot isn't really an insult when she was correct, thats one thing i hate looking into american culture that you threaten to sue and stuff, grow some balls get tougher skin because trust me when you start work its going to be alot worse

yes I do realize that but I wan't serious. Unprofessional behavior has become like something of a trend that needs to be stopped, you're supposed to check that sh*t at the door to do your job. Bad day or not, to direct your anger at someone innocent in itself is childish and petty, especially when it's supposed to be someone who knows better
