Yeah. I said it. This is the kind of crap that EA is pulling. First, it's DLC-on-disk nonsense, and now this.

"Electronic Arts plans to shut down 14 online services that support various games in late March and mid-April. Interestingly enough some of these titles supported EA's Online Pass system - they paid an extra fee to play online. The most notable of the list is EA Sports MMA, which was one of the first games from EA that used the Online Pass system.
Online services being shut down on March 31 include Battlefield 3: Aftershock for iOS devices (the game was recently yanked from the App Store, but those who downloaded the game were being allowed to continue playing it), Fantasi Safari for iOS devices, and Ghost Harvest for iPhone.
On April 13 EA will close online services for BOOM BLOX Bash Party for Wii, Burnout Revenge for Xbox 360, EA Create (PC, PlayStation 3, Wii and Xbox 360), EA Sports Active 2.0 (PlayStation 3, Wii and Xbox 360) EA Sports Active NFL Training Camp for Wii, FIFA 10 for PlayStation Portable and Wii, The Godfather II (PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360), MMA for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Need for Speed ProStreet for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, The Saboteur (loss of The Midnight Club access) for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and Spare Parts for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360."
