I'm curious of what other people think of this.
Can too much pride be a bad thing?
@dccomicsrule2011: The king speaks..
@comicsrulebutdbzdoes2: Yep just ask garrosh hellscream
@dccomicsrule2011: oh sh!t haven't seen you in a while
@leonkarlen123: You're welcome?
@leonkarlen123: :D
@cosmiccupcake: LET me clarify t's good to have pride in yourself meaning you respect yourself but when you start to think your better than other people you better check yourself
Too much water can kill people. People are made up of more than half water, yet drink too much and you will die, though don't drink enough and you will also die too. Which is to say too much of anything and not enough of anything usually not ideal. Then again thats what happens when you use qualifiers like too much, as opposed to say a lot. Conceptually too much is always more than a given quantity, too much water intake for a human can be three liters in less than an hour, and it can also be 300 liters of water in less than an hour, and it can also be 3000 billion liters of water less than an hour. Great difference, but all those values are too much (as far as healthy intakes of water for average human in that given time frame) - I use water as an example because its a bit more literal and tangible than pride, so should be easier to envision.
Also when you use conditions like can, because then you introduce a degree of relativity and circumstance. Its to do with perceptions, and the fact peoples perceptions aren't always perfect and they also vary. Not everyones idea of pride is the same, so peoples idea of what is too much pride will differ as well, but in an objective sense, took much by definition implies lack of optimal efficiency and effectiveness and that can be a bad thing, with how bad being contingent on the degree of inefficiency/ineffectiveness.
@modernww2fare: Sorry language warning. Please remember site rules, the four letter word beginning with F can't be said, not even in memes. If you really really like that meme though, just try and photo edit/manipulate it to censor it. Thank you.
Hard question, insofar as the said pride is not used to trouble others i suppose its still a good thing.

Can I ask you a question?
Why do you always write these long arse comments? I love reading them, just asking. ^_^

Pride comes before the fall
Dangit, I was gonna say that.
I equate pride to alcohol. It's great in moderation, but having too much is going to hurt you.
I like this approach to the question.
