Would you rather watch The Batman in cinemas or on HBO Max?
The theater, of course, and hopefully by 2022 this whole pandemic thing will be mostly behind us or at the very least manageable enough so we can all go to the theater without fearing for our lives. That is provided there are still theaters around by then. AMC got lucky (maybe) with the Wall Street Bets debacle (revolution?), but who knows how much good that will have been in the long run and I don't think Regal or Cinemark benefited in a significant way. Without product to attract customers, the theaters are still on the brink of shutting down permanently. Even with new AAA movies if audiences don't feel safe sitting in an enclosed space with strangers for 2 to 2-1/2 hours they won't buy tickets.
As of right now, as much as I would love to see Godzilla vs Kong on a huge IMAX screen, I will probably watch it on HBO Max next month. If we're still captives to the latest strain of COVID this time next year, I will watch The Batman on HBO Max if available.
Cinemas of course but i feel like i won't get the chance.
On the big, big screen with movie theater popcorn.
@escrow: I am ok with watching The Many Saints of Newark online, The Suicide Squad and Black Widow as well. I would definitely not be watching Batman and Dune on a computer screen, they look too rich to be cheapened to the small screen.
@ghostodoofus2: I mean, being ok to watch them online is one thing, and I feel the same, but preferring to watch them online is another.
