Villains Month Week Two: The Good Ones

I really enjoyed Riddler and Mongul. Mr Freeze is still up in the air. Im not for sure I like what they did with Nora in the new 52.

I haven't been real keen on the Villains Month one shots. Only bought and read the Riddler this week. Plan to grab Dial E and Arcane next week. That'll be it for me.

ugh second time I've gone to the store to see if they have any of these....second time I've gone home empty handed. The clerk actually laughed and was like yeah.....no. So don't think DC wants my money.........:(

@godtriggerhulk: last week I went to one downtown. this week I went to a more local. that's 2/3 of the stores in my general area i'm willing to visit.

Do you have a pull list at any of these stores? That way you can walk in and know that you're favorite titles are waiting for you.

@godtriggerhulk: no I don't. typically I don't buy single issues preferring to wait and buy trades as they are more cost effective. Thinking this would be a big event (and one that actually made me want to buy single issues) I didn't think finding the issues would be such a problem.

I'm kind of regretting getting Solomon Grundy and not Black Manta. I haven't even read it yet...

@godtriggerhulk: alright!! went to the third store for the first time and they had pretty much all of the villains months titles and in proper quantities. I ended up getting from last week Darkseid, Two-Face and Relic and from this week Riddler, Mr. Freeze, Zod and Brainiac. I just finished Mr. Freeze which I would give like a 3.5/5 but as someone who hasn't read Bats in the new 52 yet (i'm waiting til I finish Morrison's run) I was slightly confused about his new origin. One question.....

Instead of Nora being his wife like in the previous incarnation she is now just some random woman who Freeze was obsessed with. That was what I got from reading the comic. Am I right? I heard that the new 52 origin for Freeze takes his tragic villain status away and just makes him into an obsessed freak.

I would put my answers now as that I really liked Brainiac, thought Mr. Freeze was ok, Riddler was disappointing and I haven't started Zod yet.
