The Final Battle Begins in SECRET WARS #8

I hate that they are still releasing this title along with the other crappy secret wars titles after the event ended. All of these series have had the worst couldn't-give-a-crap endings.

yeah I'm another one of those 'I don't even care anymore'. I thought the whole point of this was to justify the ANAD universe or whatever, and that already started, so...

I was over this event at Issue #2 of the various series. I liked the ideas, but I couldn't stick with any of the books.

Not a fan of delays, but this has been the best written and drawn event in years. So I can't wait to see how in finish's.

8+ issues with tons of tie-ins is stupid. I've just been waiting for them to bring back The Sentry. Not a version of Hyperion or that blue horseman, but classic Mighty Avengers Sentry... Don't worry, I'll wait.

Still what incentive do they have to get stuff out on time anyway? It still sells. No one seriously thought the mu was going to stop and we'd have no more comics. This is almost like killing a character off: it's a good stunt and it doesn't have to have much substance because it won't last. We've already seen the title and characters coming out of it relatively intact, learning why and how they got that way is a bit like seeing last seasons cliff hanger in the middle of this season. No suspense. Still it'll sell and it'll get good reviews, so they really don't have to bother getting it out on time.

LOL. Why does 9 bother you? Need everything to be even? Just having some fun with you. There was however an issue 0. So by including that you get to 10.

Its a shame to because Hickman spent his entire new avengers run leading up to this. I feel like I wasted all my money. I'm hoping the ending will be epic because if its not then well...yea.

Is that the 1610 Galactus? I know the 616 Big G is dead(for now).

Also when is the next Surfer issue releasing?

@waezi2: Yes, in the Silver Surfer Books. SS (and Dawn) are task with recreating the 616 universe. When he had to recreate the Galactus of 616, he decided he didnt want him back, then "re-killed" him

Was there a number 7? Ugh, did I miss it? Did I miss anything important? Probably not. What a hoot - - Marvel destroys their universe, screws up the timeline on many of the Secret Wars comics (Thors anyone? Where's issue 4?), and then starts their New Universe regardless. There were so many non-Secret Wars comics throughout the summer that nothing felt important or special. Typical Marvel.

they need to put out both issue 8 & 9 together so it is over.
