Supergirl's Superman on set (Spoiler: He looks better)

While he still is a bit skinny, I think that the hair cut to one side helps him a lot (A recommendation I made). The logo does look kind of cheap now and the suit in general looks worse. This conviences me that the guy might be able to play a decent Superman if the acting and the characterization is right.

Though he's not a bad looking guy, he doesn't look like Superman to me (less so than Cavill, Chris Reeve, and Welling; more so than Dean Cain, though). Though HE looks better in the pictures and vids I've seen, the suit looks even worse.

I feel Hoechlin's recognizably short to play Superman but honestly that might just be nitpicking. This is absolutely great news, I am very happy even if I'm not a Superman fan. I might pick up the show again if Hoechlin actor starts making a lot more appearances now that he's cast.

He dosent look much better..He still looks way to skinny compared to previous actors..But hes certainly acceptable looking for a CW show..Id say hes probably equivalent to Grant Austin compared to his comic counterpart the Flash...And Im not crapping on him or anything i,m just saying if you ask me he dosent look very impressive especially compared to the Cavil of Steel..He may actually portray a much better Superman then Cavil did,but visually he dosent look anywhere near as impressive or Superman like.

So I am going have to be the one who says it?

According to the internets, Hoechlin who plays Superman is 6'0". Mehcad Brooks who plays James "Jimmy" Olsen is 6'3". That doesn't feel right to me. As I said in the last thread posting that first in costume photo, I thought he would be taller. It might well be nitpicking, but I always see Superman as the biggest guy in the room, however when Jimmy Olsen can look over the top of his head... For the record, Tom Welling is 6'3", too.
