@moistchoice: oh yeah. I was just saying strength+technique is usually better than pure technique. In real life anyway.

Even if people want to disregard the shock waves the blast that Beerus nulled would have turned universe 7 macrocosm into dust.

Lifting strength certainly matters, but it doesn't necessarily scale to a character's striking power. For example, the speed of attack plays just as important a role as raw strength. However, you can't say that it isn't useful in a fight. It can be used for grappling and overpowering opponents.

In real life it matters a whole lot more then what is portrayed in comics or on here. Especially in grappling. If you are strong enough in grappling it makes it exponentially harder for your opponents to perform moves on you.

As for striking it certainly helps a lot. But as others have said there are multiple factors. But if you take 2 identical people structurally with the same technique and muscle composition the stronger one will strike harder. Remember the muscle is producing the force that is then turned into the speed of the punch. Not the other way around. \

Also comparing lifting a rock and breaking one are not good examples mainly do to the fact that we are limited to our human durability. Give someone brass knuckles nd they could break rocks. And that isnt changing the force much it is just making it so less is absorbed back into our bodies.

Strength should be considered more.

On topic it is because most writers do not understand fighting and the mechanics behind it. Same with a lot of readers as well. Due to that there are a lot of misconceptions.

Lifting strength, all forms of strength do, but its relationship with striking strength and durability is very complicated, there isn't an easy, direct co-relation.
