The only reason this would ever happen is so disney can make more money by making content about stuff that would too heavily contradict already existing starwars lore.

Eh, I’d rather them not. STAR WARS is so rich with mythology that there’s tons of stuff that could be done excluding Skywalker characters. I think Mando is a great example of this. I’d be down for like one-shot/one-off What if? style STAR WARS stories or shorts, but full blown Multiverse style stuff no thanks

I really hope not, I feel like as cool as they can be, multiverses can really cheapen a story. I'd be much more up for an explicitly non-canon but canon-abiding what if than canonising a multiverse.

Edit: actually I take it back. They could just keep the OT and redo the last 8 movies and make them decent. And just remove solo and rogue one all together because they're worthless and add literally nothing to the franchise besides inane filler

People need to get over themselves regarding the sequels. That being said, there’s several scenarios that I would be curious to see how they’d have unfolded differently.

A What If would be nice, don't understand why people are opposed to it.

I mean alternate universes of Star Wars might be interesting, but a multiverse in the same vein as Marvel or DC doesn’t really fit in with the Star Wars continuity
