Favourite Modern Comic Book Movie (2014 Edition)

Dredd was pretty great.

The best in my opinion is The Winter Soldier. My favorite, however, is not listed up there which is Sin City.

@attatje: I didn't vote because TWS isn't my favorite, Sin City is....but it's not on the list

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, American Splendor, and Kick-Ass are my top three comic book movies, but since those aren't on here, I'll vote Batman Begins.

Watchmen is amazing, I am a massive Superman fan but as a movie Watchmen was brilliant.

Sin City isnt listed so I went with Winter Soldier.

I voted Winter Soldier, but AS2 is a close second. (didn't like AS1 at all though. it was a rushed mess)

Yeah, both that and TWS are still in full hype mode right now. I voted for Dark Knight, but Watchmen is a close number two.

I don't think TASM 2 has much hype right now. It just lost it's number one spot at the box office after only a week at top, and it's gotten a somewhat lukewarm reception from critics.

Hype on this site, aka, with comic nerds, not hype among snobby critics, hence, both it and TWS are in the lead, the two newest movies are the one freshest in our minds, thus, we vote for them.

@the_stegman: But critics aren't the one's who feed the box office. It's the general public whom are often not as critical as critics and they still let TASM 2 get dethroned after only a week. And IMO, the buzz around TASM 2 isn't all that great either on comic sites. I'd say Cap 2 got more love.

@wolverine08: Yeah what Stegg said. ASM2 and Winter Soldier are freshest films in this communities minds.

Plus, outside of the nerd community people are sick of super hero movies. I truly believe on 2016 Superhero movies will see a heavy decline in numbers.

@wolverine08: I could be wrong and maybe if the numbers are high enough they will still make movies. I just know that a majority of the people I meet or talk to who aren't comicbook nerds are tired of the movies.

However, the upside is all the kids I know and meet are still exited for SuperHero flicks.

As great as CA: TWS and TDK were Blade 2 is a film I can watch literally over and over again.

Man of Steel most def. Seen it 5 times now. I need to get around to watching second Spidey movie. Looks great.

Meh. I'm sure results will change every year based on which films release. Fresh in your memory and whatnot.

Time will tell if they still have the same weight.

And as far as I'm concerned TDK still stands above all and sometimes I feel like its not close. I just watched it again the other day. Seriously one of the greatest films of all time.

I voted MOS, it's just the best cbm imo, I have literally watched it over a dozen times, can't wait for the sequel!!!

CAP2 was epic, one of the best Marvel movies to this day.

ASM2, I love this movie, I love it more than CAP2, even though CAP2 is more epic, and ASM2 has more "problems" (ASM2 spoilers) I still loved this movie. It's rare for me to even care for the death of a movie character, I had to hold back my man tears!
