Ironman vs Thor in New York City. Iron Man loaded with Mark 7 Armor (Avengers Film) and normal Thor. Battle to the death. I'm going with Ironman, Who do you guys think will win this battle.
Ironman vs Thor

None of this is true.Iron man wins, he can defeat Thor at range and is just as powerful (if not more) physically
lolIron man wins, he can defeat Thor at range and is just as powerful (if not more) physically
Iron Man has done nothing in any film that would suggest he's comparable to Thor.@Vance Astro: Care to prove it?
You have to be joking. When have you ever seen Thor weakened by Earth weapons?@Vance Astro: He is right. Just think Ironman loaded with Mark 7 Armor with back up ammo from distance range. Thor takes heavy fire then Ironman goes in up close to exchange punches with the weakened Thor and take the win.

They fought in the film and Iron Man's armor was in bad shape afterwards.Iron Man on the other hand sustained no injury....at all.@Vance Astro: Except just being the best avenger on the entire team. He killed more Chitari than Thor and generally had more impressive feats, like when he took down those robots in IM2.
@troller: Exactly. Also other than walking killing machine, inside the armor is Tony Stark, and as he says in the movie, he is a billionaire play boy with genius level intellect, meaning he is much smarter than Thor by far, and being smarter than Thor, can execute a plan better than Thor and take him down
@Vance Astro:
hey fought in the film and Iron Man's armor was in bad shape afterwards.Iron Man on the other hand sustained no injury....at all.
You put Iron Man twice.
And on the topic at hand about "Iron Man defeating more Chitauri" Thor did one massive lightning bolt and destroyed a bunch of ships and pushed back and damaged 2-3 of those whale ships.
You know, for a second I thought this was comics versions and I was like "You must be joking"
Surprisingly Iron Man gave Thor a good fight in the movie...which is total PIS, Thor wins.

@Vance Astro: Actually when Iron Man and Thor batteled it out in the movie Thor took quite a bit of damage from Iron man's repulsors if you don't remember
Thor would have wrecked Iron Man had Captain America not jumped in the way.

Seems like a paradox in your last statement there buddy
Frost Giants > Remote controlled robots. The Destroyer > Remote Controlled Robots.@Vance Astro: Except just being the best avenger on the entire team. He killed more Chitari than Thor and generally had more impressive feats, like when he took down those robots in IM2.
And Thor killed more Ch'tari than Iron Man. With one Blast he took down over a Dozen Ch'Tari Vessels. Unless you count the nuke...but that was SHIELD's Nuke...so technically Fury should get the points there.
I meant to say Thor sustained no injury at all.Seems like a paradox in your last statement there buddy

I know you did. Also as Iron Man flew the nuke and was willing to sacrifice himself, he takes the points, in fact none of the other avengers were needed, as the whole battle was decided by Iron Mans' heroism.
None of that makes Iron Man more powerful than Thor.@Vance Astro said:

hahahaha
Nonononono, if one were to cast ones' mind back to the battle between the mortal known to men as Iron Man and the being recognised by the name of Thor, all Thors' lightning blast did was juice up Iron Man,and Iron Man dodged many of Thors' attacks and would have owned him had Cap not arrived. Iron Man did also hurt Thor a lot.
@troller said:
It has to do with the fact that Iron Man is better then Thor at superheroing and therefore would beat Thor is a form of confrontation known to men only as combat
How old are you?
Thor didn't seem to be hurt by Iron Man's armor at 400% power at all, and he was crushing Iron Man's armor with a single hand. Thor wins.

T'was but one battle, Iron Man has demonstrated his superior might against Thor many a time
Iron Man is NOWHERE NEAR as strong or as powerful as Thor. Don't bother replying, because you're just going to keep trolling.

This.
In the Avengers film, Iron Man giving Thor a good fight was PIS, because movie Thor is much weaker than comics Thor.
And anyway, when Thor WASN'T holding back, he swatted away Tony like a bug.
I'm out.

My argument is that Iron Man would fly up to 10000 feet and just shoot Thor until he is too weakened to resist, how can Thor counter that?
Thor could counter that by flying to the moon at the speed of light, then by throwing moon at Iron Man thus killing Iron Man and destroying the planet Earth.
@troller: Look man, I am a big Iron Man fan myself, but I gotta give it to Thor. If this had been Comic Book Iron Man vs. Movie Thor, then IM would've wiped the floor with him. However, movie IM is no where near that level, and Thor surpasses him. It is a simple fact that the movie tried to keep the balance accurate (ish):
Hulk > Thor > Iron Man
Why? Because that's what a lot of fans believe.
Now, if you want to feel better about Iron Man, then you should know that now days Comic Book Thor would rather not fight Comic Book Stark, because he can truly give him a good run for his money, and, if he plays it right, win against Thor.
For the sake of the argument, movie Thor can beat movie IM. That doesn't mean IM is a dumb avenger. In fact, he is the right man for a lot of different operations, and his versatility makes him a tough opponent.
The Thunder God ftw. I think Stark would put a good fight but eventually goes down....As far as their fight in The Avengers movie, I got the feeling that Iron Man was on the ropes more than Thor was. Thor was crushing his armor with his bare hands, dented Starks helment with a headbutt that sent him back and body slammed him to the ground and was about to put the "Hammer down" on him lol!....To me Stark took more damage and was in peril more than Thor was.....Thor is a beast and often has to be toned down to not overshadow his fellow Avengers, at least in the movie.
