Post time-skip One Piece characters embarrass the MGverse in speed, Vergo is more skilled and a fodder giant weaker than him sent 1,000,000 tons flying into the air so he should be much stronger than Armstrong or at least have better striking power. The only issue for Vergo would be getting through Armstrong's durability which he won't have a problem doing with repeated attacks, between his precog, flight and speed he isn't getting tagged at all.
