Thor .vs. The Hulk

And you couldn't have started with a more controversial topic with who wins: The Mighty Thor or the Jade Giant. Lots of opinions on this, but I think writers like to always end it in a draw, or something happens and they have to stop. It's one of those great perpetual rivalries in comics. Somedays I say Hulk, sometimes Thor. It's a pretty even matchup IMO. It really depends what their limitations are or the environment.

I'm more of a Thor fan, but truthfully I really don't know who would win.

Everybody will go for Mjolnir... Versatility and blah blah blah... HULK SMASH! They call him the World Breaker! In character personally i think Hulk wins,

thor stomps the only reason thor hasn't smoked hulk yet is because he doesn't want to kill bruce banner

I'd go Hulk due to the fact that Thor barely use the more exotic abilities of his hammer when fighting

Thor, he usually hold back when fighting Thor, and usually stalemate, if he go full out, and beat him quick, he most likely win

Well if this counts for anything, then Hulk would be stronger. But I don't how valid of a claim this is.

hulk thor got beat down by emma phoenix in avx and hulk was called in later and gave her trouble when she had more of the pf.

in character: Hulk probably wins

Thor stomps. Hulk only srands a chance in comics because everyone holds back cause Bruce and cause Hul fans would compkain.

After Thor: GoT, Its just plain silly to think Hulk can beat Thor.

Actually, people often forgets about WBH, which Thor stands no chance against. And that's no power amp no nothing, that's something HUlk has inside, so don't bring OdinForce nor anything similar.

Thor can speed blitz him before he turns angry. Also Thor is charming, funny, he can make peace with Hulk. After Hulk turns back into Bruce Banner, and they are at a bar having a beer, THOR SMASHES BRUCE'S HEAD IN LIGHTNING SPEED!!!!

The feats that Thor did in that comic had nothing to do with Odin Force so I don't see your point.

nul hulk was weaker than hulk anyways. Hulk broke free from his control and then destroyed the hammer

@venomoushatred1001: Was a just in case statement, because people always go with "If your using the strongest version of Hulk lets use the strongest version of Thor which implies OdinForce or Runes.... But those are external features that put Thor on that level. Anyway, true, you didn't mentioned anything so you're right.

@cfrehse: So the hammers made everyone stronger except hulk? Why is he the exception?

@thegodofthunder: nul has no feats that are on par with any of hulks other feats. He was just possessed. Nul was no where near world breaker or wwh level. He might have been stronger than savage hulk. I think hulk was the only one who broke free from possession by himself

Common sense will tell you that a Thor who's not holding back should wipe the floor with the Hulk, though they have been evenly matched with the Hulk besting him on a few occasions. I believe most non biased followers would go with Thor, though with these two good luck finding non biased debaters. Hulk has plenty of high level feats and is a complete powerhouse but relies heavily on brute strength where Thor is more versatile, in straight H2H I can see Thor getting bested in a good fight but in a well thought out battle, Thor should be the victor if both are fighting at their best and everything is taken into consideration.

Thor has admitted to the hulk that the hulk is physically the strongest being he has ever encountered.

thor has met zeus, odin ect.

therefore the hulk is physically stronger than odin, and odin could beat thor.

but physical strength isnt what this fight is about, physical strength can only get so far yes but the hulk has beaten thor over and over again, shown to be able to smash mjolnir with the clench of his hand, withstand thors strongest lightning bolts so my vote goes with the hulk

Hulk has beaten Thor in the battles I have seen, particularly the ones in the animated universe. I really want Thor to be able to win this, because he is supposed to be only a bit weaker than Hulk but faster, have more range of powers and the mighty mjolnir, but Hulk never seems to lose any fights against other premier league Marvel characters, so I suspect he would win!

Thor feats > Hulk feats

In showings against each other they are near equals which can be explained by one or more of the following (all debatable)

1. Thor is holding back
2. PIS/CIS
3. Bad match up, Hulk is just a bad match up for Thor

Yes hulk is physically superior to Thor if he gets angry enough, but a base strength? No. Even if he did get stronger some how, Thor still hits harder. Take his fight with Gor recently. He was causing explosions on other planets that were not the one he was on just by striking Gorr. Thor is also so much more versatile, can fly, faster, and more durable too. Only reason why Hulk looks so durable is because he has a healing factor.

The only problem with that blog is that the writer is a big fanboy.

Of course any writer of a blog about comics would be a fan boy! I can read bias stuff and still learn things and find enjoyment, and figured others could as well.

thor admitted that to hulk to make hulk feel better. thor has fought guys way stronger than hulk, way out of hulk's league. guys that hulk could never dream of going up against, that is a vast difference in power.

yes hulk is stronger than odin to start off with unless odin amps himself in which hulk has no way of exceeding odin

hulk could never beat thor unless the writers wanted him to. hulk has never smashed mjolnir in actual continuity. he never could he never will. u have no idea how strong thors strongest lightning bolts really are.
