Thing runs a durability gauntlet

The thing is running a durability gauntlet. He will be fully healed between each round. To move on to the next round, he must be able to stand up within 1 minuet of the attack.

Round 1: A full out punch from captain America

Round 2: a direct hit from an RPG fired from 10 feet away

Round 3: A fall from 5 stories

Round 4: A shell from an M1 Abrams tank fired from 2,000 feet away

Round 5: A full out punch from a bloodlusted colossus

Round 6: A fall from 20,000 feet

Round 7: A 4 story building collapsing on him

Round 8: A nuclear bomb

Round 9 : a fall from space, re-entering earth's atmosphere and landing in the middle of New York City

Round 10: A full on hit from Thor with his hammer

Anyone?

If he just stands there and takes it, he might not make it past Colossus.

Round 5 and 7 should be switched.

He has, but he never really won any of those and that was a LONG time ago.

A bloodlusted colossus is pretty scary.

Round 5: A full out punch from a bloodlusted Colossus - He'll survive.

Round 6: A fall from 20,000 feet - Not sure.

Round 7: A 4 story building collapsing on him -I think he has tanked something like this before, but not sure when.

Round 8: A nuclear bomb - Deado.

Round 9: He crumbles like a cookie.

Round 10: Thor should probably hit harder than this.

Everything up until the nuke he shouldn't be phased too much by, he'll tank the nuke with some difficulty but then Thor cleans his clock.

Should clear, only thing hat gives him a problem is the nuke. Because of the radiation and heat factor. The Concussive impact of the other stuff is easily survivable. But that last one... can mid town Manhattan survive after what would basically be a 500 lb living meteor hits it at thousands of mph?

Thing can't make it past 8. Maybe 5, 6, or seven, but he can't survive a nuke.

I heard he ate a nuke before. I don't see him going down during that round. Reentry may be too much, if he makes it past then Thor puts him down.

A swing from Colossus knocks him out.

That's the thing about comic book showings. In one breath, Thing will tank a hit from Hulk, and in the next, a pissed off Cap knocks him out. The inconsistencies are crazy.

I say that Colossus knocks him out because whereas he tanked a Hulk hit, I doubt it was a straight shot to the face. Thing standing still and tanking a full on haymaker from Hulk is a bit much.

He already did in Fantastic Four number 3. When he fell, he began to fight a monster.

Thing was already taking blows from Colossus with the Juggernaut amp. I fail to see how Colossus one shots him when he's never showed the strength to do it to someone of Thing's durability.

With that said, he stops at 10. He's pretty much tanked everything on the list up until 10. Thor already blew a hole in his chest when he was amped as Angrir. Thor should be capable of doing it again under his normal form.

1st. 6 and 9 are basiccally the same, not many people know that ( including few people who already answered ) but if you were to survive re-entry, ur speed before hitting the earth would decelerte so much it would be no diferent the falling from 1000 fet or 10.000 feet. It is called terminal velocity. You just cant fall faster. each object has different terminal velocity, but his would be not much different then human, his a bit heavier but also bigger so terminal velocity would be close. Of course meteors reach higher speeds but only because their mass is huge and is also huge compared to their volume. For human or the thing terminal velocity is fairly low and comparable

2nd. When faling from 5 stories building you will already reach a above 50% of terminal velocity so it is also close to point 6 and 9.

He's survived re-entry before and survived, I say he stops at the nuke or Thor.

@batman1130: how heavy exactly is the thing? Around 500lbs so yeah considering he is also bigger ( not taller, just bigger size - volume ) then human terminal velocity would be basically the same for him and average human.

So points 6 and 9 are the same. Whoever says it stops at 9 doesn't know a thing about physics, if he stops at 9 he stops at 6 too.

when metor of the size of human hit the ground with speed much higher then terminal velocity for human its only because, this metor was oryginally much, much heavier before reentry, and it is because it was heavier that alowed for the meteor to reach higher speed. Most meteors just before the impact only have less then 10% of the size before re-entry.

Sure, you will accelerate UNTIL you reach terminal velocity. It is because the faster you fall the more resistance the air makes, and after you reach terminal velocity air resistance is so great that you will no longer accelerate. You would have to be either heavier and keep the same body size, or gravity would have to be higher, or air less dense.
