only stated on panel, yes, but he then flattened Chinjao's head, that was shown to crack Very Large entire landscapes in half, and said to have continent busting power.

so Garp fodderizing a few mountains isn't very far fetched.

Very large landscapes like? I'd need some time to get used to current one piece, I've read it, but I re-read carefully at the end of each arc..

Fodderizing mountains does seem seriously far fetched. Destroying, yes. I'd put him on mountain busting scale. But casual mountain bust? No..

...but we can't be completely certain, so i just used the safe "large landscape" to show how powerful he is.

1. He explains that the name is given to the island due to the specific property. And he headbutts it. Doesn't mean that his headbutt is continent level lol, if someone explained about why sabody island is called so and hit it hard, does it mean that he's hitting island level? no.

2. The ice breaks from hitting it at a single point with huge force. Like driving a nail, which causes cracks.. While the crack is pretty large, the size could be very well from property of ice, than from actual force.

3. And still, it's not really mountain level, is it? Imagine the same headbutt on a mountain. Do you think it would really destroy one?

Sometimes I hate the speculation fallacies One Piece makes. "Oh, Chinjao is SAID to be a continent buster" when he has never actually shown it, and no, that ice land is NOT a continent, not by a long shot. Same goes for Whitebeard and his "World shattering" punches.

Yeah Prime Garp would win. Prime Garp, Roger and prime Whitebeard could likely be 3 strongest OP characters

@the_stegman: Well the Ice wasn't regular Ice.Fire and regular brute force wasn't working on the that type of Ice that Don cracked.

I know, it even said it in the scan above, the only way to crack it was to concentrate a lot of pressure into one spot, doesn't mean that feat equals to a continent bust.

Well, ice that doesn't melt isn't really a problem, we don't know the scales of techniques used on that. Like haku's ice wouldn't melt by fire either, but doesn't mean madara's majestic destroyer wouldn't blast through it..

That´s all true. The Problem with Garp is that he is probably one of the most powerful op-chars but he lacks in the actual feat departmenet. What feats do we have from him?

throwing a gigantic Cannon Ball with ease

and

showing Marco who´s the boss

and now the "fight" with Don Chinjoa. The rest is hearsay, reaction from the people when he appears and old stories so basically for a battle he is a bad choice.

But anyway you have to love him ^^

@ratava: I know Garp, he was actually one of my top 3 characters for quite a while, along with mihawk.. And I know he's strong. But putting him as a casual mountain buster seems a bit too much..

I'm saying it's well within his power to have busted those 8 mountains before fighting chinjao, seeing as to what he then did to chinjao's "continent" busting headbutts.
