well fusion is supposed to multiply the users power together (stated in the daizenshuu, for potara), so pretty much any version of Goku and Supes win here.

Yeah, no. His physical strength would at the very least, double. Coupled with the Super Saiyatonian transformations, Kaio-Ken, and ki abilities, he'd be an even more powerful version of Silver Surfer.

Not really, fusing with someone weak can offset you, like Goku fusing with Dende, Goku's low durability and physical strenght would hamper Supes severely, he would get Instant transmission but he would have no of actually harming the DD's depending on the version

The only way a fusion will be weaker than what it's supposed to be is ONLY if they messed up the fusion dance if Goku and Superman are fusing by the fusion dance.Goku never even fused with Dende.Goku wouldn't really weaken.Superman would just be the dominant person of the fusion.
If goku however,did fuse with Dende then he'd have all his regular powers but he'd just gain the ability to heal others and regeneration.
The fusion of Goku and Superman would be a beast. I mean could you imagine how powerful he would be if he went to Super Saiyatonian 3 then sun dipped. lol

To make Superman fanboys happy, then how about Goku fusing with Superman at SS3? Becouse then they would be at about equal level, Goku would be a bit stronger but this is Potara fusion anyway.
Kal-Korato uses Spirit Bomb Vision and erases the 3 Doomsdays from existance.

Almost ANY thread dealing with Goku and high-tier comic characters are going to end up like this. Especially with certain individuals putting Goku below Colossus in strength :/ it's their honest opinion that Goku is garbage compared to Superman, Sentry, Hulk etc., and it's my (along with others) opinion that Goku could defeat Supes in ss2-ss3. ss4 would be a "curbstomp" of epic proportions if you logically consider his power (not that GT nonsense). But that's just my opinion. Goku is stronger/more powerful than Superman. Someone posted very logical threads on another page proving this, but oh well.
honestly I think goku isn't that weak. I once saw goku and vegeta fights in TV during the time without ssj. Ordinary punches from ordinary people would not hurt him. Goku gets knock into a lot of mountains a lot of times and didn't hurt. I even think he can actually stand toe to toe with SA superman in a fist fight(pure martial arts), IF and only IF they considered chi a form of magic. well Spirit bomb hurts bad guys. If that isn't magic, well you know who wins. Honestly I think ssj looks weaker than the original, because I saw him getting his ass kicked harder in ssj. hehe. But I think it is only to show that their enemy is more extremely powerful than that of the past.
