I don't know much about Atrocitus so I'd actually appreciate if someone could fill me in on some of his feats. Does he have the combat speed and the reaction time to be able to deal with a brutal Kryptonion that won't hold back? Has he ever beaten a kryptonion level character? These are the types of feats I would have to see to give him the edge.
@comic_bruh777: I don't think Atroticus has shown impressive speed feats, but he has feats like taking on Martian Manhunter, Apollo, and Midnighter while weakened (he had the upperhand too). He's also been shown to fight multiple Green Lanterns (Sinestro and Hal Jordan included), at the same time.
@newworldorder: hmmmm how did the fight with MM play out? Also, Apollo is not on the same level as superman by any means. And a rookie new 52 superman thrashed Hal Jordan like it was nothing. Also something to keep in mind is that Zod speed blitzed and beat the sh*t out of MM
@comic_bruh777: The fight played out with Aroticus leaving, but then again, he was winning prior to that. Apollo isn't Superman level, but he's still powerful. Superman defeated a rookie Hal Jordan. Zod if I remember correctly got the jump on Manhunter, that's why it occurred that way.
@newworldorder: Hal Jordan was not a rookie because according to Geoff Johns his history did not reset along with the new 52. And yes Zod got the jump on Martian Manhunter via speed blitz and because of his significant speed advantage which by the way he has here. While Apollo is powerful he is not on par with superman level. Zod is. I'm going to have to go with Zod on this one. Atrocitus could hurt and potentially beat Zod with his puke but Zod is extremely capable of blitzing him before he has time to do so. He did it to Martian Manhunter and he can do it to Atrocitus
Atrocitus literally created the Red Lantern Corps, after trapping then later trapped an emotional entity, that's a Guardian level feat right there, but they don't give him credit where credit is due. Instead though, they've been using him as a punching bag for many story arcs, which is primarily the reason why he's not as high up in rank as Larfleeze or other Lanterns even.

Feats of Atrocitus being able to hang with a kryptonion-speed character?? We can't just assume he can if he hasn't before that's a huge jump. The closest so far would be Martian Manhunter and Zod speed blitzed the hell out of him
Oh yeah, let's use that nonsense written by someone who outdid Bendis himself in "battlecraft" writing - Charles Soule. The same guy that made four Omega level telepaths not being able to deal with Karank because "he can see flaws!", who made Emma Frost durable enough to punch a hole in Black Bolt but at the same time have Medusa's hair break a piece off that very diamond form moments after, the same guy who made Psylocke approaching Medusa say "You have hair, I have sword! I win!" and then be oneshotted! Also made Venom a credible threat to a team with Red Hulk and frikin Ghost Rider among others.... Yes it's that hack who made Gardener stomp Atros. But how credible it is with the shittrackrecord written by this modern genius? How credible does it look when compared with the showings of giving trouble to people like Hal and Sinestro Green Lanterns when he himself had no ring; afterwards when he did have the Red ring, consistently break through GL Hal/YL Sinestro constructs; giving hell to MMH and Apollo at the same time - does it all sound plausible that someone like this can be stomped by Gardner? Or maybe it's just more of a crap writing thing?
