Dante & Vash vs Vergil & Knives

"Virgin' Limits Himself with his stupid "Codex of honor"
And Vash is just better then "Knives"

I'm not very knowledgeable on DMC, but I know that Knives takes Vash easy (the only reason Vash won was because he's the good guy). What I've read up it seems Vergil and Dante are pretty close so I'd have to give it to team two. Knives eliminates Vash and then Dante gets overwhelmed by the combined effort of Knives and Vergil.
