The year is 2015 and a variety of Viners from all corners of the Battle Forums have gathered to compete against each other for the prize of a century, or just some basic bragging rights on an internet forum.
On one side we see that Nickthedevil, Nimamindtricks, and TheTrueBarryAllen have joined forces using a team of the most dastardly villains they could think of (and by that I mean the ones that fit the limits and they knew enough about to debate with) to challenge their opponents....
... who are a team of CosmicallyAware1, Wyldsong, and Serrure, representing a team of heroic champions spanning multiple universes and publishers!
Who will win, who will fall, and who will have to pay TTBA the $5.00 fee for making this OP?
Nightshade | Pre 52 | Represented by Nimamindtricks
Soundwave | Composite | Represented by Nickthedevil
Team Heroes ( Wyld // CA1 // Serrure )
Aphrodite IX | Composite w/Witchblade, Stealth Suit (Aphrodite IV) , Rifle (Aphrodite V) | Represented by Wyldsong
Firestorm | Composite w/o Fire Elemental | Represented by CosmicallyAware1
Jean Grey | Composite w/o Phoenix | Represented by Serrure

MUST HAVE 1000+ POSTS TO VOTE.
If you have under 1,000 posts and you'd like to post your input once the match is over, feel free; however, only users who have 1,000 posts or more will be able to have an official vote. This is to prevent alts/trolls/etc from voting.
We also strongly encourage you to post the reason WHY you voted for the team that you do. It really helps the debaters on both sides know what they did very well and/or what they could possibly work on to improve. Help us help you!
The Battlefield
The location of this battle is within the Capital Wasteland near/within the very Capitol Building itself. What was once a place of political power had become a battleground for the Talon Mercenaries and Super Mutant groups.
However; time has since passed since the Lone Wanderer and the Brotherhood of Steel clensed this area of its conflict, eliminating both threats and leaving the building abandoned.
Battle Conditions
Morals On & In Character
Characters won't attack members of their own team and will work together regardless of past rivalries and the such
Teams start 3 miles apart
Win Conditions include KO/Incapacitation/Death
No civilians on the Battlefield
Best of luck to both teams; if you wish to be notified when this match ends a simple T4V or Tag for Votes will suffice.
I believe we agreed on posting as a team with the spoiler block on. you guys might want to draft your teams post in your own PM before posting it then copy/paste. this also makes it good for the battle strategy wise versus just having everyone individually posting feats without real teamwork or cohesion. @wyldsong
I'm on mobile now, but will b able to get mine up later. Go for it. Then if wyld gets his in tonight as well......that finishes the good guy teams intro and allows the others the stage.

You three should create a PM; post your openers for each character there, and then compile it into one post.
Jean is an omega lvl telepath and telekinetic. I will be using feats mostly from Morrison's New X-Men run, Bendis' All New X-men, and of course some Classic X-men like X-factor vol 1, and the beginning issues of Uncanny X-men
it is important to note that during Morrison's run it appears that Jean does tap into the Phoenix but it is my understanding as well as a few others that the Phoenix never takes control. She never pulls anything Green/Dark/White Phoenix and certainly nothing out of her normal capabilities
regardless Morrison's run was a defining moment for the character. Now if Adult Jean could only stay alive for more than a few years
Jean is not a major offensive character but make no mistake she can make your life living h**l with TP/TK/ and Astral Projection
Telepathy
blah blah blah, mental take over blah blah blah. no way man thats not even kind of fun. No we are going to be playing with illusions
she technically had the Phoenix in this run but she doesnt need it to do this see
these illusions were so real they fooled Logans legendary senses. Seriously the guy was read to kill her
so Illusions... yeah... definitely a great way to mess with peoples head
oh and she was able to enter Emma Frost's mind and catch Scott cheating on her.
awkward
sure she could psychically take over your team but ehh lets hold off on that now
Telekinesis
now this would be nice but her morals dont really allow her to do this right off the bat
she launches a giant truck and then brings down a Sentinel. is anyone here a giant robot?
shes got AoE blasts. and blasts strong enough to send Thor flying in the air
her TK is strong enough to hold Juggernaut, and Juggernaut doesnt seem certain he can break out of it.
by the by. Jean can use her TK to stop energy attacks or she can just tank them with her TK shield
Jeans Role
Jean is gonna be Defensive- Crowd Control
She wont do any major fighting but she will use her TP and TK to keep the opposing team off balance and protect her own team. its very hard to attack when you are trapped up in an illusion.
Firestorm // The Nuclear Man
Biography:
The being known as Firestorm has had an interesting past, and there have been some changes over the years. The first Firestorm was an amalgam of two people - high school student Ronnie Raymond and university Professor Martin Stein. Firestorm became a popular hero, and a member of several incarnations of the Justice League of America. Fans were able to relate with the secret identity aspect of the character, and enjoyed Martin's constant guidance. Firestorm was bestowed the honor of being the youngest member of the Justice League.
The Stein/Raymond incarnation lasted for quite some time despite some alterations: Raymond and Phozar; whose real name wasMikhail Arkadin, but was proven to be controlled by the disembodied and amnesiac mind of Martin Stein. And the Fire Elemental, but Stein triggered an explosion that resulted in the destruction and re-formation of Firestorm. Mikhail and Ronnie were returned to themselves, and Stein became the sole possessor of Firestorm's powers. Martin wanted Ronnie to merge with him so he could live forever (due to leukemia), Ronnie declined which enraged Stein. Eventually with the help of Extreme Justice Ronnie was able to come to terms with the professor thus allowing him to edit Ronnie's molecular structure and curing his new-found cancer. He kept his powers and worked with Extreme Justice, The Power Company, and the JLA
Raymond continued to act as Firestorm from that point, while he attended college until his untimely death during Identity Crisis. Marking the end of an era. Next, enter Jason Rusch.
Jason was the next individual that was a main driver of the Firestorm persona. One of the main differences between Jason and Ronnie in lieu of power levels is that Jason was able to affect organics. Jason was featured from Blackest Night and into Brightest Day. Rusch had a very intelligent mind and was a very competent Firestorm, and performed a wide variety of abilities and feats that the Raymond version had been incapable of.
Onto the Nu 52...............actually no. Firestorm is cool in the Nu 52, but I'm not goin there (although the art is spectacular). Needless to say.........Ronnie and Jason are both Firestorm, Stein is virtually non-existent, and there is this guy named Fury that is big and bad.
Powers and Abilities:
well, there's lots of ground to cover here so let's get started. Seeing as this is a composite version being used.........there's not much that cannot be accomplished.
Let's discuss the main ability first, and then look at the secondary by products afterwards.
First off: Transmutation and Molecular Manipulation.
Firestorm has the ability to rearrange the atomic and subatomic structure of matter, rearranging subatomic particles to create objects of different atomic characteristics of equal mass. He can not only change and transmute the atomic composition of an object (e.g., transmuting lead into gold of equal mass) but he can also change its shape. He can, as well (due to the nature of Jason's Firestorm control) affect organic and inorganic matter just by looking at it and possesses the ability to transmute both organic and inorganic matter with ease. There are few limitations and does not extend to his person as he can change himself at will, allowing him to regenerate lost and damaged tissue, boost his immune system, shapeshift, and survive indefinitely without food, water and air. Much like a Green Lantern's limitations, Firestorm can only create items the "driver" of the Firestorm matrix is able to understand the workings of. Unlike a Green Lantern's creations, Firestorm's alterations are permanent unless he reverses them.
Secondly: Other abilities
Firestorm has exhibited secondary abilities that are incredibly noteworthy in themselves. They include:
Flight: In a vast capacity however, not exceeding limits of sound or extreme speeds.
Intangibility // Phasing: can render himself intangible and thereby pass through solid objects harmlessly
Energy Manipulation: Can shoot concussive force, heated or charged particles, and powerful 'fusion blasts.'
Enhanced Senses: can see atomic interactions and the structure of molecules. He can also see the ultraviolet spectrum and detect thermal signatures, and he also has microscopic and telescopic vision.
and that should suffice.
Aphrodite IX
So, I have to apologize right off the bat, but there is a large amount information to go over with this character, so I am knocking out all of the basics right now. What follows is purely baseline Aphrodite. At the end, I will touch briefly on the two items that will allow her to compete in this little CaV against some of these higher tier foes, as I am sure you will be questioning yourself as to what the heck I was thinking by using IX against characters of this caliber.
Equipment:
Coin of Solomon, IV's Stealth Suit, V's Rifle, Witchblade
The Origin Stuff:
The Aphrodite Protocol was created in 1971, and first initiated around 1980 with the creation of Aphrodite androids. They started out as fully synthetic, but around 2011 they created the first bio-synthetic model in Aphrodite V. In 2078 they finally had the first live natural birth of a techno-biological singularity with tri-helix DNA and three additional artificial chromosome pairs, Aphrodite IX. Aphrodite IX is known as the "Tracker Killer" model, and is a 225% improvement over the generation VII models (which puts her far above models VI and V). Our protagonist here is exceedingly unique in that she is regaining a sense of self above and beyond her programming, and for unknown reasons also has an artifact known as the Coin of Solomon implanted in her head:
The Physicals:
Aphrodite is a marvel of genetic engineering and cybernetics. She was built to be above a peak human in all respects (strength, speed, durability, etc), with a neural processing speed faster than any human, and has the ability to temporarily enhance these stats through an "adreno-glycaline surge", and with these increased stats comes increased neural processing speed as well. Most of the below feats (except maybe some of the strength feats) are possible for the baseline Aphrodite IX.
Strength:
We can clock her average deadlift at 275.5 pounds (1510 pounds with moderate surge), bench press at 242.5 pounds (1323 pounds with moderate surge), striking pressure at about 1522 pounds per square inch (3626 pounds per square inch with moderate surge) and can probably increase her strength to roughly the 2-5 ton range depending on if she goes for more heavy surge usage. She has lifted heavy machinery and punched through concrete floors and thrown full grown men around like ragdolls:
She has also ripped the cockpits off of flying ships and put the beatdown on robots bare handed:
Being able to increase her strength levels and even striking power allows her to hurt armored foes with her bare hands (though realize her hands are reinforced with tensile strength metal fibers and she has an increased torquing ability with her muscles, so her hits tend to hurt a bit more). Here we have another good example of her strength with her snapping titanium mesh cuffs and ripping off a man's limb:
That should give a good idea of her base levels of strength, but we'll cover this topic again a bit more in depth in future posts, as she has a little something nowadays that changes the game a bit in this arena...
Durability:
Aphrodite IX can tank some damage like a champ. She can handle multi-story falls (bear in mind, she did not know she was a cyborg in the following scan):
She has the explosion angle covered :
As well as gunfire:
So, as we can see, she is pretty darn durable, but again, she has had some new enhancements in this arena as well, which I will cover later on down the line=)
Agility, Speed and Reaction:
Aphrodite IX is pretty darn speedy when it comes down to it. On average, she can take the 100 meter in about 11 seconds with a sprint and not even be winded or breathing heavily. With moderate surge usage she can do it in about 7 seconds and can go even faster than that if she goes for a heavier surge usage. She once cleared 13 meters in 1.2 seconds and killed a foe before they could fully realize what was even going on, all the while dodging gunfire:
Now, let's take a look at various other feats of speed, reaction, and acrobatics. My girl here is definitely agile, and acrobatic:
She also took down three members of Cyberforce in no time flat, and of course as you will see, was able to react to the speedster, Velocity:
Not to mention the obligatory bullet timing and dodging:
Speed, agility, and a killer tush, check=)
Fighting Skill:
All Aphrodite models are "trained" aka programmed in nearly every worldly combat technique to be the most efficient killing machines they can be:
She has also shown proficiency in numerous weapons, like the Blade Kata, as shown here when she fights several combat programmed Aphrodite androids without the aid of her combat computer:
And here are some various other tidbits of hand to hand combat skill:
This is just to show that she is skilled without the use of the combat computer...but with the combat computer, she is even more dangerous as you will find out next...
The CDI Model V.9:
Aphrodite IX comes equipped with a little computer (the CDI Model V.9) that can predict foes moves and lay out their fighting style before she ever sees them fight, as well as monitor her health, their health, power usage and can break down a foe to the genetic level, even to the point of telling her about their technological enhancement's and equipment.
Bear in mind, the older Aphrodite models that kept up with Cyberforce, artifact bearer's, etc, did not even have this little bad boy. And note that in many of the previous scans I have shown with her hand to hand and blade kata skills, she also did not have use of this little piece of tech. This little computer ups the ante a bit, and adds to what she can accomplish and do in combat, and it is all integrated and fully functioning with her skills and so on. The basics on the CDI Model V.9:
This computer let's her pilot vehicles she hasn't piloted before, learn and speak an unknown language, monitors the environment so her body can adjust itself and so on. And these systems include enhanced long range sensors, so sneaking up on her will prove a difficult task at best. Not to mention it constantly scans for weak points and can give her detailed information on a foe and the best way to kill them, it will even break the foes fighting style down for her, let her know their vital signs and it predicts her opponents giving her the best combat strategies to use:
She also processes information faster than a human, and this processing speed increases with her stats when amping. The second box represents the neural processing speed of an average human male, the third box represents IX's baseline neural processing speed, and the final box represents her processing speed with moderate surge use:
Accuracy
Aphrodite models have killer aim, and could give the best sharpshooters in fiction a run for their money. Here, she goes on full auto while firing on moving, armored troops, taking most down with headshots:
I did mention she was firing on full auto while doing this, right? She also has awesome penmanship with her gun on full auto:
And to finish this out, here she is timing her shots against a speedster (and her speedster dog) perfectly, and stopping them in their tracks with a message:
Stealth
Aphrodite models are stealthy assassins by design:
They can hide their scent and avoid detection, even from the likes of genetically enhanced trackers:
Here she is bypassing and sneaking past the security systems of Cyberforce:
And this nifty little stealth suit just adds to the fun:
Predator style stealth=)
Pheromones
IX also comes equipped with pheromones, usable for seduction and confusion:
And of course, some examples of the pheromones in use:
Healing
This portion will get expanded upon as the debate progresses, but just for basic information purposes, IX has regeneration, not only for her organic parts, but her cybernetics as well:
Again, I will get into much more detail as the debate progresses, but this intro is already lengthy enough=)
The Artifacts
And finally to close the introduction out, IX does in fact carry two of the artifacts from the Top Cow universe. Bear in mind, IX's story happens in the far future, so bearer's like Sara Pezzini, Ian Nottingham and so on, have long since passed. Artifact number one is a little thing known as the Coin of Solomon:
This is a little vague on the details of what it actually does, I know, but we will get into this little beauty in future posts. As for her second artifact...the infamous Witchblade:
It is through these two little artifacts that I can take a character from the upper tiers of street levels, and have her compete in the ranks of Dr Light, Jean Grey and so on. We will definitely get into the details on both of these items in future posts, but this intro has ran on long enough=)
And that is how you make an entrance like a boss=)
ya know, I've seen that happen with him in some other matches sadly. One hell of a debater, and a veteran of the site for sure. Dependable? not so sure.... but I know what it's like to be away from the vine due to real life commitments. Let's sit on it for a bit and see what happens. If worse comes to worse, we can switch that slot out. again. why don't you guys find someone more reliable?
@cosmicallyaware1: It's most likely going to die. Nima and I haven't heard from Nick and neither of us can argue for Starscream.
As cool in concept that team matches are; they're practically impossible due to commitment.
dagnabit!! You are right though, the team debate matches are generally difficult. Veshark has been in contact with me and asked if I have somebody to pair up with to do a tag team debate with him (I teamed up with sovereign91001 last time against him and comicstooge). You interested on that? We have a PM we once started to discuss randomity, care to move this to there and talk about us pairing up in a CaV match? :)

I'm interested but I'm also spread really thin at the moment with school and the such. I don't want to fully commit and then end up disappointing everyone else in the match :3

Understood. I know what it's like to have substantial commitments in life that affect Vine time. Well, let's just leave it at this: WE HAVE TO SO SOME SORT OF A MATCH BEFORE THE NEXT HOF (I'm getting in this year and need "resume building" at it's finest for it). And it's long overdue that we have a match (with or against) anyway. Keep me in mind brother.......
Nick and Serrure are nowhere to be found so no. We can start over using the same characters except replace nick's pick and serrure's pick if anyone is down. This is the second time this has happened -_-
@thenewbluebeetle007: After two failed team matches due to other team members dropping I probably won't be doing any team up CAV's or matches, haha
bro, they can work. I did an amazing one with sovereign, veshark, and comicstooge. You just have to find the right viners to participate and keep the momentum rolling. Remember our attempt against diredrill and sov? ..........brrrrrrrrrrrr........
It's a shame this went down. Nightshade and Dr Light are really underrated, and it's always fun to watch a debate with Firestorm.
true. And You should see me rep Firestorm. One of my favorite characters ever since the cartoon "Superfriends; Galactic Guardians" from the 80's. His Kenner Super Powers action figure still sets on my bookshelf to this day.....
