NYCC 2015: 'Arrow' Sizzle Reel

Did you watch Arrow last week? There was plenty of action and, as you expected, we saw Arrow return after giving up the vigilante life. Along with his return we also found out what's been going on in the months he was away and saw the introduction of a new and deadly threat--Damien Darhk.

At New York Comic Con, a sizzle reel was shown to catch up viewers with that first episode and also contained a look at what we can expect this season, including the return of Constantine and the fates of some characters that have appeared to have died recently.

Are you excited for this season? Arrow airs Wednesdays on The CW at 8/7c.

Seems decent. I hope Constantine joins for awhile. Team Arrow needs some more variety.

If they keep it exciting, I can't say I much care. It's not as if most super villains are motivated by complex motivations. Sure, they have origins which give them shattered pasts, but individual evil acts are usually motivated by

A. Evil for the sake of being evil

B. Evil for the sake of money/power

C. Revenge!

D. Evil for the Sake of Righteous Motives

Merlin who was a mix of C and D.

Slade was mostly C. Maybe a little A and B.

Ra's was...poorly developed, honestly. I'm guessing D with a little A and B, but I get that more from the comics than the TV series. Did Arrow ever explain the Demon's motivations?

@batwatch: There was something about replacing evil with death, but he really undermines his righteousness when he tried to kill the population of a major city to kill a single man.

Dark is working for H.I.V.E who is run by Vandal Savage, H.i.v.e was the organization that funded Deathstroke and Brother bloods plan to destroy Star City in season 2. Since the Arrow stopped Slade they decided to send the big guns in to finish the job.

@orlandozo: I amn´t sure but the actress is busy with another series. But they could replace the new actress like they did with Sarah Lance.

he was looking for Merlyn, who had Sarah killed, then wanted revenge for her death and was going to destroy the city if someone didn't fight him, and Merlyn blackmailed Ollie into doing the fight, then since Ollie didn't die they thought he was prophesied to take over the league, and going by a League of Assassins rule, Ollie had to destroy his home city before he can take over the League

"You're about to find out"... Lol, at least his Arrow voice isn't as bad as Christian Bale's Batman voice. But still...
