Born in North Bay, Ontario, later moved to Brampton, Ontario where he was raised. Moved to Toronto to study at York University. By his third year was asked to leave for being "disruptive".
Would find his way into comedy which lead him to Kids in the Hall. Kids in the Hall would be where he would make his name as an actor and comedian. Now he can add writer to list of accomplishments with the release of his first Graphic Novel Husk: The Hollow Planet from IDW.
He is also openly homosexual and is proud he is the "Gay" member of Kids in the Hall.
