The original Evangeline series from then married couple Chuck Dixon and Judith Hunt lasted for two issues at Comico before an internal struggle over ownership of the title resulted in the creators pulling Evangline from Comico. It was picked up two years later by David M. Singer's short lived Lodestone Publications before finally finding a more long term home with First Comics in 1987.
