    The Mysterious Molecule Man!

Hey, remember that weird Watcher guy from issue 13 that lived on the moon? Well, he's back and he's brought some bad news; there's a menace on the loose who has accidentally stumbled on the ability to control molecules in any manner he desires—that is, unless they are "living" organic molecules, or something like that. Starting off strong by developing Lee's new favourite villainy motive of being under-appreciated in a giant corporation and then being let go, the Four's adventure slowly but surely dwindles into a cacophony of silliness as The Molecule Man treats us to his circus of power that echoes previous overpowered foes such as Loki from Thor's tales in Journey into Mystery. From getting around on a giant slide of sorts, to creating parachutes and (Lee's staple) magnets, much of the super-villain's attack is overdone and lacks the detail that the build-up utilises when he steal the Baxter Building and threatens to dump in the middle of Times Square. For what it's worth however, the story still reads well enough, despite some odd action sequences—it's just not up to the Fantastic Four standard that we've seen thus far is all.

In this issue the Watcher alerts the Fantastic Four to a danger so great that it imperils the entire universe! That threat is The Molecule Man. Turns out the Molecule Man was an ordinary atomic researcher who was engulfed in a radiation accident and now (using a wand for some reason) can control molecules!  Luckily for the FF, the Molecule Man seems to be distinctly un-creative in the use of his own powers, and he seems to be limited to only inorganic molecules - organic ones send a force feedba...

      Mole-cool? 0

An old ally has returned seeking to direct the Fantastic Four’s attention to their most dangerous foe yet: The Molecule Man. He has complete control over all inorganic matter, on a whim he could destroy worlds or even the entire universe. He also has a really cool look for a villain, his face is riddle with lightning scars giving him a fearful look even if he does dress like one of robin hood’s merry men. He’s a solid villain in a story that sadly is undermined by some fairly s...
