    I Almost Hate This Issue

I hate Deadpool in this issue. What an effing moron. Sure, the book is supposed to be a fun send-back to the 1970s, but it is too much. Not almost too much; it is too much. The afro, the wanton beatings, the maniacal motives. Meh. I know it is kind of a spoof/parody, but it completely ignores the fact that Deadpool wasn't Deadpool in the 70s. Fanboy rage has me crying about continuity.

The art, however: Wow. Like the last throwback issue, the pages are made to look vintage (despite the glossy sheen). The colors are spotted, outside the lines, and fantastic. And Carmelita Camacho? Yes, I'll take a Latin beauty that looks like the Little Mermaid and the libido of Austin Powers.

The book is just gorgeous to look at. It is just far too bad that Deadpool has to be in it.

(And Iron Fist is the best straight man. Just saying.)

This page doesn’t exist. We’re willing to bet that it’s because you pasted in some dodgy URL that a “friend” of yours sent you. We think that means you should really take stock of your life and the people in it. After all, friends don’t send friends broken links.

Either that or something really weird and/or bad happened on our end. I mean, I guess that’s possible.

You all saw the response to the seventh issue, and honestly you pretty much should just read my review of that issue. This one will end up pretty much the same. But with more 70's. Or at least, this issue was basically the same as that one but in the 70's. Scott Koblish's artwork manages to do an amazing job at capturing the retro vibe without loking truly outdated. And basically, this issue is so extremely insanely over-the-top fun. It's hilarious, entertaining, everything. There's brilliant co...
