Captain Barnacle, Gypsy Johnson, Dorothy Collier, and Leonard Collier are traveling near India. After escaping Taku Umrat and his tribe in Malaysia, the captain convinces the others to find the Temple of the Crocodile Worshippers for treasure. With Leonard holding the rope, the captain and Gypsy descend into the treasure room. When caught by the Crocodile Worshippers in the act of stealing their treasure, Leonard makes it more difficult by releasing the rope so the pair can't escape. Gypsy finds that the torch he's holding near the Crocodile Idol is causing it to melt. This causes the worshippers to act in a docile manner, allowing the captain and Gypsy to escape. The captain and Gypsy discover 'Dotty' standing next to her brother, Leonard Collier. He's been caught in a trap, and is suspended in the air by a rope. Before releasing him, the captain and Gypsy chide Leonard by beating him lightly with a stick.
