The series are written by argentinian Carlos Trillo and Eduardo Maicas, the art is made by spanish Jordi Bernet. Trillo created her in 1992, with Bernet providing her appearance. Maicas is responsible for the more humorous parts of the script, Trillo and Bernet having based their careers in more realistic stories for social, science-fiction and detectives comics. She was first published in the spanish magazine El Jueves, that still publishes her adventures. Almost at the same time, the series started to be published in the italian magazine Skorpio and in the supplement No, of argentinian newspaper Página 12. Other publications and translations kept adding up.

Clara has an easy-going personality and always keeps a smile upon her face. She embraces her profession without any second thought. She always makes sure her clients pay, though, no matter how much some of them ask to defer the payment. The series lack completely of any social commentary and stick to simple sexy jokes, often filled with Clara in various sexual positions.
