    The Hunger is upon us…

     First review :)

The premise of Godhunter was strong and got of to a good start but sadly in this final instalment the package is never truly delivered with this issue wrapping up all the loose ends at almost lightning speed and leaving you wondering why Bill even bothered in his quest. The writing and art are both sound no problems there, The problem is that it’s to damn short, three issues is just not enough to get into a deep and meaningful story about the clashing of these two titans. The first established that Beta Ray Bill was going to be taking no prisoners and that this could potentially be a battle to be remembered, it does come close to this but in the end it all seems a bit like everyone was pushed for time so they called the game off quickly, letting Galactus get off with a slapped wrist and giving Bill his hammer back when this had the potential to be an epic in it’s own right. All this is not to say that it’s not worth reading however, that couldn’t be further from the truth. The opening pages show the true extent of Bill’s pursuit in the form of a weary Galactus that grabs your attention instantly and we briefly get to see the other side of Galactus once faced with his hunter. Overall it’s an ok conclusion to a very enjoyable series that laves you wanting more which in a way I guess is a good thing, though it does leave one wondering what a full blown battle between Galactus and Beta Ray Bill may have looked like.
