who do you think will?
and
who do you want to?
I really cant decide. I want to see some fresh new art and obviously a good writer but I cant pick two people that I would want to fill the roles
Character » Batman appears in 23658 issues.
If it was up to me I would like to see Brian Azzarello and Sean Murphy take a crack at it, but that's me....... I can't see DC letting Snyder off that book......
whoa sean murphy's art is awesome
Definately jeff lemire & andrea sorrentino theyve been AMAZING together on green arrow an id love to see them on batman. An if not them maybe robert venditti an becky cloonan would be great too
I agree with you about andrea sorrentino. I haven't read green arrow but her depiction of green arrow makes me interested in him
I have a feeling that Snyder is going to be around for a few more years at least and I couldnt be happier! But after he leaves I have a feeling they will transition James Tynion IV onto the book. Hes already been killing it on the backups and I cant imagine the transition going to bad. As for art I have no clue but the aforementioned Sean Murphy would be awesome! It would also be awesome to see Alex Maleev on the book.
Jeff Lemire on story. (since Morrison's probably not coming back)
Art: either Jim Lee, Andrea Sorrentino, or Tony Daniel. Although I don't want Greg Capullo to ever leave
I don't want them to ever leave. Ever. Even after their deaths, they must continue writing and drawing Batman.

see I don't want lee because I know he'll only do one MAYBE two arcs and then be gone. my first choice would be mike deadato and then sean murphy
Anyone will be better than Snyder. Courts of Owls was awesome, but Death of the family was terrible, cutting Joker face was terrible, making the Joker the red hood gang leader in Zero year is also terrible.
Can't see Snyder being taken off the book, which I'm thankful for but Snyder has said in the past if he felt like he had no more worthy stories to tell he would step down. I hope it doesn't happen but if he did step aside, I'd like to see Mark Waid on the book. As for the artist, again I'm loving Capullos work but I'd love to see Sean Murphy on the book. His Batman Black and White story was just fantastic.

Why do you hate Batman so much?
@lolzstastic: Batman's my favorite character, and they've been doing a great job.
I would say that Sean Murphy is inevitably going to be working on Batman at some point. I'm not sure about the writer though...
I am really enjoying Snyder and Capullo's run together so I hope it won't stop for a long time. When it does it would be awesome to see Grant Morrison return with Jim Lee, but I realize that's highly unlikely. Or maybe Dave McKean, Arkham Asylum style... but that would require a great writer as well and I don't think DC would like to adopt that kind of artstyle for an ongoing series, let alone one of it's flagship titles. I have always enjoyed Tony Daniel's art as well as Sean Murphy's, so they are my top picks, but I am not so sure as far as writing goes...
@cheesesticks: tony Daniels cut off jokers face in detective comics, also it has not be said that joker is the leader in the red hood gang that's just speculation which I'm sure he will be the patsy for the real boss just like the original story.
