    Vision's quest

After ending a very flawed storyline, bendis does a good job in this .1 issue as it centers around a classic avenger who just returned from the death and how he deals the new world around him.

The issue start with pages of avengers disassembled where she-hulk manipulated by the scarlet witch destroys today’s protagonist and instantly move to the present. Stark is glad his newly revived comrade has completely healed and vision asks why was he murdered by she-hulk. Forced to answer him he explains about wanda and her actions. We then move to she-hulk as she is what seems to be a health awareness presentation as she easily carries two school busses but is interrupted by vision. She goes to him and expects him to retaliate despite the fact that she won’t fight and is just glad to see he is alright now. He of course doesn’t and both share a big moment as the two make up and she-hulks begs him not to take it on wanda for she was a victim of tragedy and her father. Later on utopia magneto watches over hope sparring with colossus and is shocked to see vision. The two obvious have a beef with each other as magneto starts threatening he can easily kill him again, not pleased at the idea of ending up another 7 years dead he threats him with tearing his heart out with his phasing ability. The two end up in a stalemate but magneto has the advantage still and spares him only because he is the only one who can bring happiness to his daughter and sends him all the way to the golden bridge. For a confrontation against the father in law who not only is the extremist master of magnetism but can easily destroy his metallic body in a instant….I think it went pretty well...

We then go to where…..oh my god! Those guys protesting stupid stuff are still there!? Don’t they have anything else to do? But that apparently does not stop hawkeye and spider woman to make out under a tree and cap finally realize what happened as he’s waiting for vision to return. Obviously he returns at that moment and steve is not pleased of hearing about what happened in utopia but understands his partner’s feelings pretty well. The issue ends with our good leader comforting his old friend and tells him that the only thing to do is to move on forward as vision falls on his knees crying.

    The Good:

This issue highlighted an avenger I now really appreciate and respect, not only for his status but is good that I finally managed to be able to read about him (first time I saw him in an actual story is when I bought disassembled…..and you know how great that introduction turned out). I thought at first he was just an android who had feelings yet he is a robot and can’t understand them and blablabla…but surprisingly he behaves and feels like a human which is very interesting to me. His catching up moments were great as he is a very nice person for forgiving she-hulk for something she did not do on purpose. His confrontation with magneto was great as the two really hate each other as expected. This might not exactly be new reader friendly entirely but is a great one-shot (who knows, I read I vampire’s prelude to the crossover event and I understood everything. Guess is just my point of view on this one). This is for me one of bendis strongest issues in this volume and is perfect for any vision fan who just decided to drop all avengers related stuff since disassembled out of pure rage and just happened to find out he was back and want to know about how he reacts to this new world.

    The Bad:

Hawkeye and Spider Woman= total fail. This romance is the most forced thing I’ve seen in fiction…..this is fanfiction level forced. There wasn’t anything hinting to it and I read both avengers tittles and instead of being happy with mockingbird he is now like a little horny dog going after the next avenger girl to screw around with. Yes my dislike for this guy might not get me the approval of his fanbase but come on! You know it was forced and he is still going at it with black widow in avengers assemble (well not exactly but still asking her to show off about his manhood when he dies is just plain wrong, specially when you are all crazy obsessed with another girl’s hair). So yeah....if you would had replaced hawkeye with anyone else and this would had been so much better.

    Overall: 4/5

A solid one-shot highlighting a member who just returned after so many years after his death and how he reacts to this world post house of M, civil war, world war hulk, secret invasion, dark reign, siege and fear itself…..wow, he missed a lot of events didn't he? Pick it up if you want to start with the avengers (you can also have avengers assemble too) as the next one is the start of the new event and the final story arc from bendis.....while i pray the next writer will keep vision on the team since I'm starting to like him a lot as part of the roster (and red hulk too).

      The Vision Returns!!! 0

Right first I seriously love the Vision he is a great character and I was shocked when he died so I was pleased to see him return. This issue is basically about the Vision coming to grips to with being in the modern world and of course he goes looking for the Scarlett Witch and goes to Magneto to try and find he. He also goes to She-Hulk which was a good scene. The cover for this issue is probably the best one for this issue I mean it actually looks like it's coming out and the art is great. The ...

Another bad team book from Bendis 0

AF Reviews: AvengersAfter the abysmal "seems it will never end" Dark Reign 2 storyline that engulfed both Avengers titles, we're going straight in with Avengers vs X-Men because all the Avengers are about now is the events...This issue is basically just explaining Vision's return and having not-so-subtle hints at the fact Avengers vs. X-Men is literally an issue away. The writing is the standard lazy fare for Bendis with every character unable to speak more than 4 syllable sentences. What's even...
