Tom Taylor is writing? I'm already sold. Considering how well he writes for DC, I will be interested to see how he does both on Marvel, and with Tony. When it comes to writing misguided heroes, like his Injustice Superman, Taylor does it the best out of anybody I have ever read.

The art looks slick as well.

I never followed Iron Man so I don't have an opinion. I already have an irrational distaste for the character so this makes no difference to me except hopefully we will see Matt go up against him in some way since they are living in the same city.

Unless, of course, Daredevil comes back to Hell's Kitchen where he belongs. If Iron Man being in San Fran makes this happen, then my thoughts on the character would change dramatically.

I actually found the first Ironman a bit boring, Iron Man 2 sucked. I actually liked Ironman 3 a lot even though fans hated it because of the Mandarin thing.

When can we expect to see this new Avengers NOW series on the comic book stand? Does it have an announced release date?

After reading through the more in depth conversation about what this books is going to be like I really wish it was someone else in that suit. I think they're trying to appeal to movie goers or something by making Tony more like he is in the films... kind of foolish trying to appeal to non-comic readers though. I really wonder how this came about. Did someone pitch "Hey lets ignore 'Demon in a Bottle' and all of those other quintessential stories that humanize Tony!" and then the editors actually thought "Great idea!"

Their all scouting locations so when Marvel moves to the West coast in 2016. They know what's up.

I'm glad there's possibly going to be an Ant-man and Dr Strange title, although it'll more than likely be Lang and not Pym leading the title.

I wonder what was the reason for that. Avengers titles sell poorly? Promoting 'look how progressive we are'? Or just an act of preparing for post-Avengers 3 movie era where they'll have to be prepared for some changes?

Anyway, I don't care for Capt and Stark, but I don't like the idea of female Thor.

The only thing I'm happy about is Bucky being included. Everything else is "meh"

Marvel has won the comic book war since the 1990s. What they need to do NW is win over a new generatin of comic book readers and media consumers. That can not be done just by big movie franchises. It has to be done through continuous reinvention. Not all of it will work, but some changes will. The whole line revision outrages enough of the base that they can only cohesively destroy a few of the most stupid changes, the result is a tweaked Avengers lineup that can be dovetailed to dramatic developments in the MCU ad MTvU.

Marvel is not DC, where every bod move needs to be wiped away with a retconned and cop out. I resist a rage urge.

Might try the new Thor, comic but this one seems super lazy. Superior Spider-man was successful yes, even if it was utterly pointless in the grand scheme of things, But to start an Iron Man comic where he would become more morally ambiguous and calling Superior seems like a lazy attempt to cash in on the success of SSM.

As for Sam becoming Cap, Could be cool, but since it's still Remender writing it and seeing how his whole run has been a joke and losing sales like no other book. It was a last ditch effort to boost sales, lets see that now that he had gotten attention if he will actually care.

So here is a dumb question what happens if Thor hooks up with Thor what would that even mean?!?! mind blown....

If it's true that Falcon's the new Captain America I'm on board, even just to see Falcon get a bigger role. Falcon's great! (I mean, I love Cap', but you know he'll be back).

I don't really follow any of these characters outside of whichever ones are in the Avengers comics, and I'm always expecting line-up changes in those, so this just doesn't seem like a big deal to me otherwise.

@ronnizzy I love how all you sycophantic sheep who are gobbling this up just automatically assume that just because there are those of us who think that this one idea is ill-conceived that we hate the idea of change.

For the record there are ideas that Marvel came up with that I thoroughly enjoyed. Two examples being Hulk's family from the Incredible Hulks series and the the army of Ghost Riders from different parts of the world from Jason Aaron's run. Oh and I liked Iron Man's Marvel Now armor as well.

I think that the All-New Ghost Rider is awesome and I'm okay with the new Ms. Marvel. They may come from different backgrounds than I have but at least Marvel didn't screw over the original characters in order to give these new characters their powers.

Bottom line: There are ideas that we think will work and others that we think won't work. And we think this idea won't work.

Deal with it.
