GAH! What's with that background? It's like something out of the 1980s. I'm getting horrible "Saved By the Bell" flashbacks.
So, is your new dance move called "Head and Shoulders".
I am really not too interested in the new Karate Kid movie. I'm just sick of Hollywood constantly remaking movies. Make some new ideas. Hollywood.
Well, there was that certain interview Tyrese did with a brunette comic journalist with quite the impressive amount of degrees. It was about his comic series. Hey, I think that interview is on the this site too. (sorry, I'm in a playful mood today.)
Karate is a Japanese Martial Art while this new flick is filmed in China where the main Martial Art is Kung Fu. Seriously don't know if you know much about the history between Japan and China but to do this is an insult. I seriously dislike this poster the cast and the concept. Call it Kung-Fu Kid ( Which at 1 point they were) it would make more sense and be less of a slap to the face.

Actually, that was the joke. They had originally named the new film "The Kung Fu Kid" but changed it to "Karate kid"....I'm pretty sure Jackie Chan's expertise is Kung-Fu. Therefore, the only thing these two films have in common is "Karate" and "kid" actually.

Kung Fu isn't a martial art. Kung Fu is a vice or discipline, at least that's how it was explained to me. If you're a chef, cooking is your Kung Fu.
Karate was derived from Chinese Martial Arts. The name was changed from Karate which originally meant Chinese Hand to Karate which meant Empty Hand. A little fun fact.
All in all, I do agree, though. It should be a movie about Japan rather than China and hopefully it is--but that's doubtful seeing as how we're talking about Jackie Chan. Hopefully the issue is at least touched on in the movie. Otherwise I look forward to it.
@FoxxFireArt: Editor here--In retrospect, the background comic book image at the beginning is probably a little too neon, but I'm standing by the blue squiggles. Comic coloring tends to be dark and full of gradients, so I wanted something that would help Babs pop out!
@Babs: I feel ya Babs that's my point, Why would they do that u know? Stick to the Kung Fu title I'd have more respect for the studio peeps. The power of the buck is still prevalent I guess. Hope u don't think this was directed 2 ya, more to the ppl creating this flick, Luv the Rap Yo!
@iLLituracy: I agree Kung-Fu is for all purposes your skill what i meant for it to be was more to encompass the vast amount of "skills' that are more traditional to China. Karate is a Japanese art form derived from China but is more associated to Japan. It just ticks me off the ignorance that is still portrayed in the name of making a buck you know....sad!

It's not the pattern. That's fine. It's just the neon color scheme and all the dots. That was pretty much the staple of the 80's TV shows. Babs is in black in this. Pretty much any color she's going to stand out against as long as the shades aren't too dark.
From a personal aspect, I liked the brick wall motif.
I can't wait to watched this Movie and I can't wait to buy their action figures such as War Machine, Justin Hammer, Whiplash, and The Black Widow. Any way thanks for the previews you have all been real helpful Merry Christmas Comic Vine and may you all have a good New Year next Year of 2010.
