It's hard to believe we're posting about Christmas already. I suppose it isn't that far off. September is almost over and before we know it, Halloween will be here. A big thing with the publishers is to put out the holiday themed issues. I'm not sure how they sell as sometimes they're hit or miss. Of course the issues won't have any major impact on any of the characters but they can prove to be a nice entertaining book. In the case of these type of books, what is more important is what creators are working on the book rather than what characters appear inside.
DC has shared an early look at the cover for DC Holiday Special 2009 #1. What immediately draws my attention and actually gets me excited is the awesome art by Dustin Nguyen. He's not the only one that will be working on this book. Other creators involved include Scott Kolins, Sterling Gates, Amy Wolfram, Fred Van Lente, Jay Faerber, Beau Smith, David Tischman, Jay Torres among others. That's quite the list. I guess I've been a good boy this year.
