In the aftermath of 9/11, Cap must deal with the way America - and the world - have changed. After 9/11, Captain America digs through the ruins of the World Trade Center to find survivors. Nick Fury wants him to fly to Afghanistan, which makes Cap angry because he feels he is needed in his home country.
Wandering through New York, he feels the world has changed. A young Arab American is attacked at night on the streets and saved by Cap, who also helps the attackers to understand that they have to be strong.
In a town called Centerville some kind of weapons are dropped from the sky. Cap flies in, finding a deserted town. He needs to save its people.
