The last WB regime really fucked everything over, the DCEU is likely about to be rebooted according to the report.

@fangdanerd: The Flash movie is supposed to be a Flashpoint storyline so the slate can be wiped clean like X-Men Days of Future Past did but what does that mean for the great appeal that Aquaman, Shazam, Suicide Squad and Black Adam have brought to the table. Will everything else get altered except their storylines when Gunn steps in? Will Reeves Batman be integrated into the Gunnverse DC Films?

@agent41: Black Adam according to other reports did actually very well in the box office. I wont deny Wonder Woman had appeal but it lacked the mythological background like the other gods and mythical monsters. killing them off was a poor move on Jenkins part.

@agent41: I'm confident that Gunn will do a grand job in bringing the DC films up to par like Marvel Studios. He should incorporate Reeves Batman universe into his Bible though but give it more wiggle room to expand on villains who require more science fiction or supernatural approach like Ras al Ghul, Mr. Freeze or Clayface.

I would've preferred changing personnel for WW3 and repurposing the film in a soft reboot than the full reboot that's transpiring. Removing Henry Cavill just weeks after it was announced he was returning is purely unethical and it's killed my interest in seeing DC movies going forward. I'm not interested in rewarding those kinds of business practices.
