    The USS Exeter is discovered still orbiting the planet it last communicated from six months prior. A boarding party discovers the crew have all succumbed to a strange ailment. Believing they will infect the Enterprise if they return they go down to the planets surface where they soon become embroiled in an ancient tribal conflict.

    Captain Ron Tracey, the Exeter's Captain is found to be leading one of the two factions, in violation of the Prime Directive. When Kirk refuses to go along with his plan he has Kirk and Spock locked up and forces McCoy to do medical research to discover the secret to the native population's natural longevity.

    ' The Omega Glory' is vintage Star Trek at its most campy. In it the Enterprise crew comes across the USS Exeter still in orbit around the planet it last reported from six months ago. When they board it they find the crew has all succumbed to a disease that completely dehydrated them. They discover the medical officer's log which leads them to believe they've also contracted the disease and must beam down to the planet or risk spreading it to the Enterprise crew and die.
