Young Sinistrari works the puzzle that will unknowingly damn him.

Sensing an oncoming threat of chaos that sought to undo it, Leviathan commissioned his favorite son with bringing about a Cenobite that could invent a new Lament Configuration that would be able to combat this threat. To that end, a man was taken from the world of the living and lobotomized so as to do nothing more but conceive, which he did with an Italian prostitute upon returning to Earth, and after which he killed himself. Nine months later, the prostitute died giving birth to young Sinistrari, who would wind up being passed from one orphanage to another for the next few years of his life. Then one day, an unnatural obsession with another boy's mysterious rope puzzle drove Sinistrari to attack him and steal the puzzle. Sinistrari then hid himself away in an attic where he did nothing but attempt to solve the puzzle, working his fingers to the bone until he finally solved it. The puzzle, in fact a Lament Configuration, then transported Sinistrari to Hell where he was met by his "family," the Cenobites, who welcomed him to his inescapable damnation so that he could carry out his unwanted destiny as Leviathan's mad inventor.

    Creation

Sinistrari was created by Daniel G. Chichester and Dario Carrasco Jr. - with credit to Clive Barker and his Hellraiser series that the character became part of. He first appeared in 1933's Pinhead #1.

    Powers & Abilities

Presumably, Sinsistrari possesses the abilities inherent of all Cenobites, although he hasn't exhibited many of them. He's clearly exhibited the immortal agelessness and resistance to death. Whether he has access to their strength, magic, or further abilities is unknown. He does however possess a scientific intellect of great magnitude, one mixed with a working understanding of the dark arts, allowing him to create highly complex machines and devices of great power.
