    Career

Ronald N. Perlman, credited as "Ron Perlman," is an American actor originally from New York City, New York. He gained considerable acclaim from his role as Vincent opposite Linda Hamilton in Beauty and The Beast (1987-1990). This role earned him a Golden Globe in 1989, and demonstrated his willingness to wear prostheses and make-up to enhance his own natural acting talent. In the years following, he had speaking roles in television and film, primarily in the United States. He starred in the titular role of Guillermo del Toro's Hellboy (2004) and Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008), and worked with the director again in the more recent Pacific Rim.

As a voice actor, Perlman has been cast as Slade WIlson, Deathstroke the Terminator in Teen Titans; several Batman villains, including Clayface in Batman: the Animated Series, and Bane, Rumor, and Killer Croc for the more recent The Batman, and as Sinestro in Green Lantern: The Animated Series, among other roles. He has also returned to the role of Hellboy in two direct-to-DVD animated films, and has also lent his distinct voice talents to several video games.

Perlman shows no signs of slowing down in his career, and is currently in the award-winning Sons of Anarchy on FX, and is in post-production on several films. A third Hellboy movie has been announced, as well as Perlman's involvement in a Peter Panzerfaust television series as Captain Haken.

    Personal Life

Ron Perlman is married with two children, and participates in charitable organizations like the Young Storytellers Program and the Make-a-Wish foundation. In 2012, he made a Make-a-Wish child's dream come true by meeting him in full costume and make-up as Hellboy.
