Though... and this may be nitpicking from a huge Green Arrow fan, where is Ollie's snark? I know it realistically would be difficult for someone who has gone through what he has to keep his sense of humor, but part of what differentiates Ollie is his snarkiness and 'take-no-guff' attitude. Definitely feels like they're going more for the post-Longbow Hunters / pre-Quiver Ollie.
Okay, that looked way better than I was expecting. I was expecting it to look TERRIBLE, sure, but I really do think that was an awesome clip. No bearing on what the show will actually be once we get narrative and storylines in there, but I'm actually optimistic now.
I kinda agree. I can certainly tolerate playing through them, and playing with a buddy actually makes them borderline fun, but I'd never get incredibly enthusiastic about playing them.
Nite Owl and Ozymandias seem like the two I'd most enjoy, but Darwynn Cooke on Minutemen and Silk Spectre (with Amanda Connors penciling) make those two series very attractive as well (pun intended).
However, lack of funds and how 'dirty' I feel reading these will probably ultimately determine how much I follow these. It's not Alan Moore likes any adaptation or derivation of his work, but more than others this seems a bit exploitative.
Cool beans. He actually looks a lot better in that image than I first anticipated. I think the earlier trailer had him looking a bit too much like a more lizard-y version of The Hulk.
If he stays truer to his comic incarnation, I'd be much happier with this adaptation.
I actually feel more compelled to read THIS mini-series than the ACTUAL mini-series. For one, I like the creative team on it much more. Secondly, really... I'm only interested in the super-fights. Honestly, I don't know WHY everyone is fighting and am not sure I'd care even if I knew.
I just wanna see X-Men and Avengers punch each other in the face.
