The Lovely Ladies of Indy Comics

A list for those lovely ladies that don't belong to the big 2

List items

  • Danielle was chosen to replace Sara as the bearer of the Witchblade upon the discovery that Sara was pregnant. Danielle took to the responsibility and then split the Witchblade with Sara when the later almost died in child birth. Dani retained the light aspect of the balance while Sara inherited the dark aspect.

During a duel Danielle lost and almost lost her life if not for the timely arrival of the Angelus force. Finch, Danielle's roommate bestowed upon Danielle the power of the Angelus as she was the intended host.

  • Aspen has come a long way since the beginning of Fathom. Many of the questions behind her existence have been answered but there are still some yet to be revealed.

  • Lady Death is the original "Bad Girl" of comics. Starting the Bad Girls era of the mid 90's the Queen of the Dead has come a long way from simply being Evil Ernie's love interest.

From a noblewoman, to warrior, to queen, Lady Death lives up to her name!

  • What do you get when you take Pixar's Incredibles theme and give it to Paul "Batman: The Animated Series" Dini? You get an amazing espionage/super powered/revenge story, that's what.

Who is Madame Mirage, I'm not telling, but I highly recommend this excellent story!

  • The original modern Witchblade. Sara Pezzini is sexy and sophisticated, a great character. Under Ron Marz amazing writing she has changed from loner to a single(ish) mother who is trying to balance her supernatural duties and her career.

  • The She-Devil with a Sword, Sonja is a swordswoman with no equal (yet).

  • Young Abigail van Alstine thinks she can get back at her pastor father by holding a seance instead of a bible study. What she does is awaken her magical abilities and kills all of her friends and family by summoning a demon.

Now, a cult and the police are after her and Abigail must learn how to control her abilities and graduate high school.

  • Kiani is a member of the blue, a race that lives under the seas but can survive on land. Kiani has a strong hatred for the surface dwellers and that hatred led to her demise.

  • The daughter of a french nobleman, Cyblade was trained as a healer and martial artist. She can generate blades of electromagnetic energy and has cybernetic enhancements as well.

  • Cassandra Lane grew up playing baseball with the guys. Unknown to her she was a mutant gifted with uncanny aim & reflexes. A jealous boyfriend ended her dreams by smashing her arm and damaging her right eye. Cyberdata replaced these with bionic parts. She was freed from their control by Cyberforce and is now one of the good guys.

  • Grace is one of the last of her kind, the Rahtumi. She has dragonfly like wings and marks on her face and back of the same insect. While almost all magic has left Earth she still retains some and is charged with protecting Malikai so he may usher in a second age of magic.

  • A relatively new character to Top Cow's portion of the Image Universe. She possesses the Ember Stone, one of the 13 artifacts.

The Ember Stone gives Glorianna the control over fire. Her form become that of a woman ablaze with fiery hair to match. She can also transform herself into a dragon.

  • Celeste Noble is a girl that raised herself from the poor house to the penthouse by marrying Rusty Noble, one of the worlds premiere superheroes. She had an affair with his half-brother and then divorced her husband. She has had a lesbian affair with a member of the Blackthorne family but this ended when she killed her lover's mother to spare the woman the pain of living as an uncontrollable animal.

  • Bridget is one of Captain Dynamo's love children. Original super strong and durable, she now has supervision and uses that as her code name.

  • Iris is an Executive Assistant. Her duty is to follow her Master's orders to the letter. Only now he has asked her to do something that she does not want to. Will she do what is easy, or do what is right?

  • Suprema is Rob Liefeld's version of Supergirl. Sister to Supreme, she has been shown to be more ruthless than her DC variant.

  • The younger and badder sister of Razor. After being abandoned by her sister (in her mind) she sought revenge and killed her. Unfortunately for Stryke this was not a permanent thing and Razor was resurrected.

  • The Vampire Goddess of the (original) Chaos Universe. Purgatori love for blood is matched only by her love of beautiful women. She is a goddess in every way.

  • Razor is a vigilante who prays on the scum of society. She is the older sister or Stryke. Stryke managed to kill her sister after being abandoned by her. She was resurrected by Poison.

  • Another DC amalgam by Rob Liefeld. Glory is an Amazon Princess in Man's World. I generally like this character, but the original is still the best version.

  • Ariel Chylde is the Darkchylde, a girl with the ability to pull her nightmares into the real world, and even become them.
