A ring around the earth that would one day house millions of people coming and going to space.
Elevators to the stars. Space ships that would be built in space and go fourth to explore. She was turned on by the idea of exploration and just looked for some solder to do just that after the ceremony. Lacy tuned out the hum of the crowd the bringing together of hands and cheers as people witness history being made.
She found him in a camo uniform and whispered something in his ear that made him smile.

The First Sgt looked at her and shook his head.
He thought about the troops....
He looked at them and one idea came to mind.
Pawn afternoon chow on somebody else he would be busy for at least the night and if he was lucky into the next day.

She was looking at him but her mind was someplace else. sweat was forming on her brow her breathing was suggesting she was having a bad fantasy at that very moment and it involved him a bottle of wine and oil...

Chapter 2
Moon base
In the years to come the space station would house people from all parts of the globe. Hospitals and hotels on the brink of the heavens to the lower realms of the earth. You could visit the stars or descend to the pits of the planet and watch the sea below. Life was in full swing all around them.
Wars broke out and her husband was in her life sometimes and not other times.
Aliens were reported seen but never did they come close to landing till one day a ship appeared on the radar.
It docked and out came some ambassadors from another world.
Meetings would be called people would assemble and life would be altered.
They had lived on the moon.
What we thought were aliens were people of a prior time whom had lived on the earth and went to war. They flew to the stars and made it as far as the moon. They never left the moon.
To hung up on returning to earth one day.
It is our Earth they said we were there first.

Lacy looked at her husband bigger minds then ours are on the case.

Her husband had the Crown the coke and ice and the hanger keys to there ship to go off planet.

Wait for us all to get ready they said we can go vacation on Phoebs I hear there is a great vacation spot and the higher ups say we are in the clear said Tracy whom loved to cheer people up as long as rum and coke was in the picture. Her fling of the moment nodded his head and seemed to want to go back to virtual gambling to see if he could win back the 20 dollars he had lost that morning.......Wait said Arthur as he walked his virtual dog. Chapter 3
The meeting began with lots of screaming and yelling.
The moon is a part of earth the counsel said...The people on the moon did not agree. We have no part of your system and will not fall under your laws.
The free leaders of the world seemed to be getting no place. The leaders for the people on the moon seemed to not want to budge. We had to leave earth long ago do to flooding and the ice age. Do to a radiation storm that hit the moon we were stranded in our base and could not get a single ship to work to venture back home till you people had repopulated the earth.
We want our land back they screamed.
What of the people of earth and what they want said the speaker.
We are all human the leaders of earth said. You yourself said it.
Moon or no moon you came from below and if you wish to fit in and play nice we can to. The crowd stopped speaking not a word could be heard among them.
The people of the moon just sat down.
One stood up and looked at the speaker for the people of earth.
We have talked this subject over and have decided your people have grown much in the years. We would like to fit in again. To swim in the oceans and walk on the grounds without harsh words or racist remarks.

Halfway to Pheobs Lacy got the words in her chamber. she had on a white night gown and held in her hand a glass filled with Crown Royal and a spash of coke....Her husband looked out at the stars...I take it they settled things and want us to come back....Yes she said. they did settle things and they do want us back to work...What did you tell them he asked as she sat down across from him and looked at him like he was a peace of candy. He looked at Lacy and thought about whip cream and strawberries and the maid...Did we remember to let the maid out of the club house last week he asked.....

Three days later she left the bed chamber the bed torn to shreds....followed by her Dawn and her husband whom had single handedly beaten all the terrorist just to be home the next day to please his wife.
We are only on a two hour break dear do not take all day with your snack he said...

Chapter 4
Courtney sat in her office. Fathers day came and went and she wondered what she would do for her husband. Client after client left her and they all seemed far and distant.

She booked herself on one of the flights. Today she would surprise him.
Walking past the guards in her bright red cloak she shivered in fear of being searched. Nothing on under the cloak she would have to explain allot of things to Joan and Mike over the fact that she was just trying to make her husbands fathers day one to remember.
7 children over the years would take there tolls on the couple.
Looking around she spotted all the other guest also hidden beneath cloaks and shrouded in mystery. She began to get worried. she had booked people not thinking. Her husbands voice came over the speaker...Please be seated we are about to depart.
Security was running toward the gate when somebody stepped up and shut them out.
Courtney panicked..but did not move.
She brushed fear aside if only she had advance warning she would have brought her sonic sword , a tazer some hair spray of the gods and a hair pick that also became deadly darts that served four and also could be used if you disabled the poison....for cheese spears at a party. Note to self pay better attention to the people booking flights from this day forward.
Looking around she took inventory of what she could use.
Out of the corner of her eye she could see a strange passenger had made it on board and stood extremely close to her.

She went full camo mode and blended in with the walls.
Three terrorist later they could see she meant business.

Space
That morning was one of chaos and things that made Stacy Janes cringe.
Into the office out of the office door on the right opened , door on the left close....

They messed up by landing the ship on the planet in the middle of rush our traffic and drunk off there asses screaming look at this booty as they marched up the street.
She never thought anybody would complain and yet somebody did.

Chapter 7
They moved the dead king from his observation cube and place him in the liquid to soak.
Lacy looked at the withered remains of the king and added all the other parts to the stew.
Brains and so fourth.
All of the atoms they could find some even looked like dirt but the computer said they were once living and part of the king.
We have to hurry they said or the news will spread the word we seek to raise the dead.
We seek to not only raise the dead but raise it from so many years ago as to question what indeed we were every trying to say with our actions.
Prime the computer said the aliens.....
Gray guys ran to and from and lighting began to strike the fluid and dance along the core seeking out the body of King Tut. Boy king as they said. One second he was floating a aged mummy dry as the desert sand.
The next his atoms blew apart in the thick fluid.
Each atom taken apart , re imaged fresh partials added as each was cloned and re imaged fresh and younger.
Soon it would be time to put them all back together , soon Lacy would find out if they could do what they sought out to do.
The grays set to work and at last a young King Tut raise up from the fluids waiting on his heart to start , his brain to rekindle and his life to begin again.

Hurricane Love
Some people wake up and are taken back by the real world.
It assaults them and makes them remember that what is real is touching and by that it touches you and makes you cringe and say oh shit time for work.
Unless you dreamed of things to come.
Unless you dreamed of people screaming and comets falling and debris being blown into space and the world coming to a fast horrible end.
Lacy and her Husband and the maid and three others lay in the huge bed.
Her husband was dreaming...Name me he heard himself say. I want a name....
The fates showed him a image....
Miles wide falling from space striking the Ring falling peaces going down to the planet earth quakes and then silence as the planet wide destruction seemed to come to life and meteor after meteor hit the earth.
No name you must see , no name you must bear the weight of things No name you must...lose ten lbs by Thursday for the marathon you joined if you have any hopes of winning.....He woke up with the image of the ring still falling from the heavens....He also called and took his ass out of the race he did not wish to lose 10 lbs.

Looking down on the planet she noted the huge hurricane forming.
All the channels got the warning and she thought of snuggles but then let the idea pass....She needed to get work done.
Her and her husband found a threat to the earth it as knocked off course by something and was headed in.
Take a threat she said Hurricane or Asteroid....
Both he said as he sent out people to deal with the threat's.
Sgt Bluesackem will deal with the asteroid by mining all the resources off of it and sending the husk into a orbit around Venus.
We can issue warnings and go get people as needed for the hurricane.
OK lets make this happen they said to the people below them.
People went from office to office and did the best they could.
Ships left the ring and started a array of communications from the oncoming asteroid....
Life was hectic but they lived on the edge.

The couple looked around for the grays and thought it was a horrible time for them to be on vacation.......

Within a month the asteroid was taken apart little by little and then they simply flew the husk into orbit around Venus.
He looked down on the planet and the eye of the hurricane.
Lacy wrapped her arms around him...Then she bit him square on the ass....

Chapter 9
Sometime after the rock wars I would have nightmares and I would look back on the dead and the dying.
I would see the ships that fell to the ground , the gaping holes in the ring and I would think about the sacrifices people made so that humanity could go on for a bit longer.
I took the elevator to the damaged zone at least once a week and looked at the workers busy with repairs.
I would look at Christina our project manager and she would frown and the world would be below us still turning and still blue as ever with hope of great things.
We lost our daughter in the war.
Friends lost family as well.
Misty was voted President of earth.
We went and watched her speech.
Lacy had been depressed of late.
She only went to work and after work she went to bed and would hug her pillow.
Life seamed to slow down to a dull throb of a heart beat.
Lacy had lost her passion.
She lost her desire to breath in air and slowly let it escape.
We had lived a long time.
There was no body when our daughter died.
Just a message from the stars.
Informing us that she would not be coming back for her ship and all on board had been destroyed.
She was my wife's pride and they would talk for hours about coke or sometimes Pepsi but really they just wanted to stay in touch.
Christiana would walk in and clean the house but it was never dirty.

The ring was being rebuilt but the halls had already reports of ghost.

10th chapter
A turning point.....
I woke up on the morning of Thor or Thursday depending on how you looked at it.
My life is not your normal life.
Some days I wake up and my wife is saying get your ass out of bed lets move soldier..
Then there are days like today.
The sheets took on a life all their own.
She kissed my chest and bit hard I almost screamed...she seemed to be in two places at once...I had to remember the last night.
Oh yes Dawn had been activated her body soaked in sweat her breathing almost out of control she screamed at lacy yes my mistress..I was just along for the ride.
Watching two bodies twist and mold themselves to one another looking at me like don't you dare move.......I think I drooled for a bit Lacy shut my mouth..

Chapter 11
Hallways in time...
I would normally take the elevator to work.
I would relax and listen to the sounds of it as we reached speeds that would scare most people.
Life in our sector was pretty boring and for the most part we were spared allot of the damage that the others had received.
Today I told Lacy to go on without me.
My troops were off the ring on a raid they told me to relax that I always took lead and they said to have more faith.
I had full battle gear on...
I did not even know why...I looked out over the Earth and all its beauty and I simply was filled with dread.
Something reached into my armor and touched my temple.
I seen the hand and felt the cold as it spread through me.
I heard her say something......

People just thought that was normal for us.
I went to the brink and jumped and scanned the underside of the ring.

I cringed and then we stopped high above the canyon......

Then I moved in.
I flew through the shield and found a few thousand people going about life and all under the control of aliens.
They used them like puppets.
Angry was a word some people toss around in some class where you learn to get in touch with your inner conflict.....

I was angry.
By no means would I allow my people to be puppets to any cause.
Puppets I wanted to scream.
I changed the jamers to attack bots.
I reprogrammed them to find others and form my emergency squad.
In moments I had a full squad of robot fighters full camo armed and ready.
Nobody stopped us as we walked right into the head office and looked right at the alien commander.
I have been expecting you he said....
The doors slammed shut and my squad looked at each other and every one of them lost power and shut down.

Did you think it would be so easy.
We planned this for years.
Set the stage and moved peaces and turned even the most powerful of leaders into puppets for our amusement...
Today it all stops.
In just a few hours we will wipe away any resistance and then mine your world for anything we need.

12th chapter
Mended soul
Lacy walked into the hospital room on the planets surface.
Her husband lay in a coma.
He had not moved in months.
His breathing coming and going his heart beat strong but the same sound for hours and hours.
The doctors said there was nothing wrong.
The world said , plenty was wrong and Lacy his wife said..I need you dear , I want you my love....
Come home to me.
Lacy walked to her room taking the longest possible way to get there.
Dawn held her for a bit but she gave her the day off to go see a movie and see the world below them.
Christina came and went and the house seemed to clean itself.
Lacy looked to the cats playing and at the blood roses tangled around each other a never ending embrace...
She cried.
A few tears at first then a full rain forest of them.
They ran down her face and soaked her shirt and still they came.
She spied his virtual ear ring and placed it in her ear..

Warning said the computer voice...

Then the oddest of people to find.

They seemed to have bonded....

She simply had to sneak them all to the chamber and let nobody know of her intent..
Dawn showed up in a skin tight outfit her features begging for attention.
As always every move made Lacy want to reach out and touch her....

Later in the lab the wait seemed to take forever....
Sleep said her husband this will take time...
Slowly her child came from the dark fluids , slowly she rose up and then she dried off and you can hear the intake of air the starting of a beating heart..
Lacy felt her own heart start to beat at a new pace a older pace a pace that said...I found you hope..I found you again...
The boy king was next and the very first thing he said was....

He had changed so much....
