Not all 1950's comics were full of super heroes, occult mysteries or star-spanning adventures. Some were gentle kids' fantasy titles like Peter Panda. Starting with a 1st issue drawn by Rube Grossman and believed to be written by Sy Reit, Peter and his friends Dronald Dragon and Jimmy and Janie Jones embarked on a 31 issue series of escapades. Peter and his friends rarely met actual bad guys; rather harmless schemers like Foxy Dan. Most stories are fractured fairy tales or funny animal capers with many involving dragons from Dronald's neighborhood - which, reinforcing the series' kid-friendliness - wasn't too far from Mother Goose's house.
