Creation

Minato Arisato (有里 湊, Arisato Minato) is the protagonist from the Shin Megami Tensei series of games and specifically the Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 video game for the Playstation 2. However, in the game the character is unnamed. It's the third game of the franchise and was developed as a supernatural-mystery RPG with deep social aspects. It was developed by ATLUS in Japan, directed by Katsuro Hashino, and character design by Shigenori Soejima. It was released in Japan in July 13, 2006, and in the U.S. on August 14, 2007.

The series was later adapted into a manga written and illustrated by Shūji Sogabe, and began serialization in ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Maoh magazine on September 19, 2008, then to Atlus's official Persona Magazine in November 7, 2011. His first manga appearance was in Persona 3 Volume 1 CH. 1 "Le commencement de la fin",

Power & Abilities

As a Persona-user, Minato is able to call upon his inner self manifested as powerful creatures that will fight for him.

Unlike the other members of S.E.E.S., Minato is able to access multiple different Personas from all existing arcanas. He is also the only one able to visit the Velvet Room, where he can fuse and equip new Personas.

Weapons & Equipment

Like the other members of S.E.E.S., Minato uses an Evoker. An item similar in appearance to a handgun, it is used as a summoning device to call upon Personas. Symbolizing the knowledge and acceptance of one's own mortality, this essential item is manufactured by the Kirijo Group and utilized by all human members of S.E.E.S.

An orphan transferred to Gekkoukan High School, the nameless main protagonist of Persona 3 leads S.E.E.S in its mission to combat the Dark Hour. Voiced by Yuri Lowenthal.

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth (2014)

One of two playable main protagonists. Once again nameless, he leads S.E.E.S in a mission to explore a mysterious labyrinth, hoping to earn their freedom from a strange alternate world. Yuri Lowenthal reprises his role.

Persona 3 The Movie: #1 Spring of Birth

A Japanese film adaptation of the first part of Persona 3, Makoto Yuki is a transfer student who joins S.E.E.S., and serves as the film's main character. Voiced by Akira Ishida.

Persona 3 The Movie: #2 Midsummer Knights Dream

The sequel to the first film, and an adaptation of the middle part of Persona 3. Akira Ishida reprises his role.

Persona 3 The Movie: #3 Falling Down

The upcoming finale to the Persona 3 anime film trilogy, this adapts the end part of Persona 3. Akira Ishida once again lends his voice to Makoto Yuki.
