He is like consistently number 1 in fan polls with Zoro and Nami always coming in close.

Yusuke Urameshi from Yu Yu Hakusho - grew up with him

Shinichi Izumi from Parasyte - really like his growth

Can't decide between these two.

Ken Kaneki & Eto Yoshimura (Tokyo Ghoul,) Lucy (Elfen Lied,) Akira Fudo (Devilman,) and Mikasa Ackerman (Attack on Titan.)

If I had to choose just one, then Kaneki.

Naruto. Almost EVERYTHING with his character from pain to turtle Island was goated

Spike Spiegel/Nakoshi Susumu are in my top picks. Hard to pick a single favorite tbh.

OT: Levi & Mikasa, though there are alot of other characters for competition. One of the reasons is because Attack on Titan is the only manga series I finished.

Sorry, it was a mistake. I might if I read Attack on Titan, but I was just trying to list potential favorite characters going through lists. Unfortunately, I completely forgot about characters like Luffy, Yusuke Urameshi, and Future Trunks!

@infinitehope: Used to be very into Pokemon as a kid, I always felt Ash and Pikachu were really humble characters. Of course their own bond was very unique too. The times Ash died with Pikachu's reaction I remember as a kid were really sad.

@arctika: It's great! Sweet to read. If someone hasn't gotten into a popular series, I think selective spoilers are a helpful way to motivate people to join the party! In my opinion, if something is great, spoilers won't affect it. Being able to enjoy the journey despite the spoilers can reveal the strength of the material in and of itself rather than the surface level hype around it. Kinda like being able to determine if a song is actually good or if the band just knows how to bring entertainment with the aesthetics and such.

Nice learning more about your cool background! I remembered your connection with Superman, and it's neat that you have a sorta parallel with Pikachu and your pet gerbil.

@infinitehope: Haha thanks, I could use heat vision about now! It's 18 right now but feels like around 1. Though it's not the coldest where I am, there's colder parts of the USA and warmer as well. Next week will be in the 40's during the day at least and low 30's at night, that will feel much warmer compared to teens closer to single digits. I hate cold winters! lol Thanks my friend!

The only character that i have in my favorites from the list provided is Joe Yabuki, all the others are nowhere close to Joe.

My actual favorite character of all time is Kyoko from Maison Ikkoku.

Also why are the options for ANJ Nishi and Yoko? lol. Carlos, Danpei or Rikiishi would be better....

Future Trunks

Truthfully, I don't read much manga. Back when I first started watching anime (sporadically watching random episodes of shows), I didn't even know what anime was. All I knew was "these cartoons look different, and I like them" lol. Then eventually, I learned a bit more about anime, but it was still years before I found out that the shows were based on any preexisting material. I say all that to say, I watched Naruto lol.

I haven't however seen One Piece. I started it when it first came out and didn't like it. By the time I started hearing how good it was, it was several episodes in.

That loser Vegeta getting more votes than Goku is exactly what's wrong with males in current society

Out of this list? Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist (the 2003 anime; I haven't read the Manga nor watched Brotherhood).

I'm contented that someone voted for Eren. Eren and Levi for me. Attack on Titan is the best anime/manga I've seen. Hits much more on an emotional level than you think it will.
