Widow Hunt Begins
Picking right up where issue 9 left off, the first half of the book details the events of what happened once the Widow was on board the helicarrier and the aftermath of her attack. The results were expected but still handled very well. The exposition between Maria Hill walking Bucky through what happened with the interchanging changing scenes of showing the actual fight has a great feel. This is a very heavy issue with major revelations that will impact Jame's future severely and Guice/Breitweiser do a fantastic job of showing the raw emotion of the event.
There are a couple pages showing the next step in Leo's plans, but, as with Brubaker's writing style, very little was revealed to what their next step will be. The only thing I didn't like about this book was Leo's new look
There is a hopeful moment at the end as some familiar faces are shown to be on the case. I'm glad that Bucky will be re-integrated with parts of the Marvel U here and there.
As I mentioned earlier, the art and colors are fantastic in this book as they have been throughout the entire series, and the story is compelling despite not much really happening from a moving forward perspective.
When it is all said and done, this run is going to make an amazing omnibus or hardcover because this is a great story where every issue is a continuation of the one before. I cannot recommend this title enough.
