    This Is More Like It!

After a pretty bad third issue, Ultimate X-Men comes back strong with the X-Men dealing with the aftermath of their rescue of the President's daughter. Some, like Professor X, consider it an unqualified success, resulting in the suspension of the Sentinel program and a human-mutant summit. Others like Cyclops consider it an unmitigated disaster which resulted in the near fatality of an X-Man and very little to show for it.

A romance seems to be blossoming between Jean and Wolverine... or is it? Meanwhile, Beast seems to be undergoing some physical changes and at least one X-Man may be defecting to Magneto's side.

This is more like the kind of thought provoking stories that made X-Men the massively successful franchise that it is. And with this issue we can finally see that Mark Millar does not intend to merely regurgitate the past here.
