Incredible (no pun intended) Issue!
I have to admit, I was a little reluctant when I first read this volume. But soon, I found this to be an exciting story packed with action, and even stuff for the intellectual bunch. The direction taken was amazing and this is the first story I've read by Warren Ellis and after reading this, the first of many to come.
Now, onto the actual story
The Good:
The writing and art. Simply amazing, Cary Nord did an AMAZING JOB pencilling, and Warren Ellis with writing. Tony Stark and Dr. Banner; this comic felt like a movie, I could feel the sad emotions well up inside me as Banner was talking about how he had to fight for everything he wanted, but ultimately (no pun intended), failed. The whole science stuff was very interesting and I feel that I've learned a little from just reading this story.
Tony Stark; I felt sad, and happy at the same time for him as well, sad for the fact that he has miserable cancer, yet happy because he had anything a man could want (other than the cancer). The emotions, the feel that this story sent, were very.... well, undescribable.
The Bad:
I have to admit that there was some bad, although very little, what I didn't like was how the Leader (Pete Wisdom in this universe), was such a stubborn stuck up jerk before he... changed. Overall: 4.5/5
