Good ol' Epic Comics
I'm not gonna repeat my plot description of Issue #1. The story, thus far, ain't terribly original, but it also didn't bore me. The art and coloring, for my tastes, is solid enough to keep me interested for the remainder of this six issue mini-series. Plot devices aside, the dialog is teetering on the edge of cliched Heavy Metal banter and something with some genuine flow. Hopefully Veitch finds a cadence for his characters as the series progresses. We'll see.
This was typical fare for Epic Comics back in the day. The bar on comics intellectualism has been raised much higher since those days, but it's fun to ride the wave of nostalgia all the way through some old Epic titles.
