Why's my bedroom suddenly so popular?
If you havnt been keeping up with the recent teen titans due to a bussy social life, starting and finishing a short relation ship that had benifits, or trying to ket back into the country after realizing that you went on holiday without your passport and had to hid in a van for the past 8 weeks just to get home Teen titans issue #81 is the 3 part of the 'Static coming home' story. The last time we saw our heroes they were searching the streets of Dakota looking for Static, who at the same time ( with craazy page layouts IMO ) was having a nice limozine ride with Holocaust. Eneitably the 2 parties met up and ended up getting their asses kicked by Holocaust.
and now the following issue....
So we open to Beast Boy watching a sleeping Raven as Blue beetle runs into the room and informs the remaining members of the team that his scarebs picked up police raido's talking about a fight of the super veriaty that happened. The team then go out and search for Wonder Girl, Bomb shell, Aqua girl and Static. Meanwhile the 4 Titans are beeing kept captive by Holocausts scientists who've straped each of the 4 members into their own bonds which have been designed to absorbe their individual powers if they use them to escape. So the story moves back and forth between the search party and the captured titans attempting to escape. We then learn about Holocausts motives for capturing the titans, and then theres the fight. ( not going to say much more due to most of the main part of the story involving the search and escape, and the rest would kind of spoil the plot, and i dontlike doing that. ) As well as this we have some suprise guests. just guess who. Come on guess. One of themes on the cover........... wears a big S on his shirt.............. died and came back to life............ any guesses...... oh well.
We also have the Ravenger second feature that follows up from last months, with the girls being sold only to be interupted by Ravenger jumping in, and in the end one of the girls gets shot. So we have Rav. in the hospital as the girl gets her oparating, when she gets a challenge from Will. The two meet on the top of a building,with Will spitting out his ideas about Ravenger, and start a fight with the lives of 3 girls on the line.
In all the issue was alright. Compaired to the first issue of the story is week, but its a huge improvement ( IMO ) issue 80. The artwork is good, but if i would have to say anything the coloure pallet could have some more veriaty than diffarent shades of yellow. It seems like to much story has been shoved into this one issue which, like #80, only makes things more confusing to understand whats going on, and there is one page where i dont even know whats trying to be said ( the escape idea of poping the ballons ). the issue's main story is nothing special, and the revenger second feature dose seem to be the more intresting part of the issue, in my opinion. next issue im expecting my mind to be blown, so come on.........
