I'd just like to say that so far I am very pleased with what I'm seeing from DC. Also, I'm really glad to see that after all these years Superman learned that his underwear goes on the inside.
Superman
Character » Superman appears in 18962 issues.
Sent to Earth as an infant from the dying planet Krypton, Kal-El was adopted by the loving Kent family and raised in America's heartland as Clark Kent. Using his immense solar-fueled powers, he became Superman to defend mankind against all manner of threats while championing truth, justice, and the American way!

Thank god the underwear are gone, I hope the rest of the heroes with the underwear outside the pants follow suit and BTW I'm also glad that the reboot is keeping Wonder Woman out of the gold lined swim suit
@Darkseid Elite: Your thinking of soloing all the gods of DC and Marvel.
Nope, I'm thinking about how I saved so much money by switching to Geico.
I'm thinking writers will finally fix the unresolved power issues, like Superman being tickled to death, that he never gets random itches in the middle of his back or that he cuts his hair with his heat vision but somehow comes out of the sun more luxurious than ever.
I'm in the boat that thinks Superman should stay old school, and that redesigning in these days never works for him. It's just the fact that he INVENTED the modern superhero that makes me think he should stay old school and traditional. It's like trying to get your grandfather to listen to modern music or wear modern fashions. It's just so unnatural it repulses me.
Plus all of his redesigns from over the years have all been terrible. Remember the mullet? The shiny silver costume? 90'S SUPERBOY? Oh my god, I hated freakin' 90's Superboy.
So for those reasons, I don't like the idea of a modernized Superman, and I never liked Jim Lee. So that's just icing.
I didn't mind the redesigns at the time, but you've identified why they didn't stick. When it comes to Superman: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/StatusQuoIsGod . And that will probably be true this time as well.I'm in the boat that thinks Superman should stay old school, and that redesigning in these days never works for him.
