    • Superman: Exile.
    • Arguably Superman and the legion of Super-heroes.
    • Maybe Kirby's run on Jimmy Olsen, the forever people were introduced there, so they tie into the fourth world.

    Not many stories come to mind really. Superman hasn't been operating outside earth a lot. And when he does I wouldn't call those stories cosmic.

    It's what lacks the most in Superman stories. We read things that he has done, like when he said he'd traveled to the heart of the sun, seen a living sun, visited other planets and other dimensions, but we never actually see him do any of it.

    He has had some encounters with cosmic groups or even entities, but he never goes searching for them, they come to Earth. The New 52 examples are Hellspont, Pax Galactica, and some aliens using miniature red sun particles on their skin. And that's about it.

    Maybe somebody should make a story out of it. Show how epic Superman is and the lore of it all.

    Maybe Death of the New Gods (though that is not exactly Superman’ comics). And yeah, we have a pitiful lack of Cosmic Superman stories on our hands. That’s sad, really. DC always forgets to develop that part of Supes’ lore.

    @sanohibiki: @jeremy1989:

    I honestly hoped and still hope Pak is gonna make that move. He's already exploring other dimensions, so its time for Superman to go cosmic.

    Leave Earth and its problems behind for a while. Meet other species, maybe other heroes or group of heroes. He could be shown seeing how other species or other heroes handle their enemies.

    And the icing on the cake... Him learning new combat styles, and power techniques, from those characters.

    Yeah, also it creates character development for Superman. Plus Superman doesn't have to leave Earth per say, but have story arcs on Earth during Geoff Johns Superman run.

    So you see, there can be two Superman story arcs, one that takes place on Earth(Superman) and the other that takes place within the cosmos(Action Comics). Basically this would be a win/win. Unless there's gonna be another Superman event, then I don't know. I wish DC Comics would know this instead of trying hold him back all these years.

    I get what you mean It's definitely time for Superman to go Cosmic.

    Yeah, I hope for that as well. Right after Doomed I actually expected that Pak would explore that 2-month long gap between Superman disappearing in black hole and returning to Earth. But appears that this time would be addressed in Convergence.

    And sadly, from known solicitations, no Superman’s cosmic adventures for us in near future T_T

    New? At least learn one; that already will be nice.

    Sound idea. Pak’s style is really suited to do cosmic stories, while Johns is better in slow paced character-oriented arcs imo.

    @sanohibiki: Exactly Pak can do plot driven stories and Geoff can do character driven stories.
